Thomas M. Baughman's Bio
Tom founded Thomas Electrical Contractors, Inc. in 1988 and built it into a two-state operation focused on developing on-going relationships with general contractors and vendors. As a subcontractor, Tom believes relationships and good communication are key to being able to get the job done right. While Thomas and team can be a one-time resource for customers, Tom's overriding interest is in TECI becoming long-term partners with the company's clients. That's why he considers it his job to look out for a double bottomline, Thomas Electrical Contractors' and his client's. It's forming these mutually beneficial partnerships that has made TECI a long-term success in a volatile field.
A graduate of Emporia State University, Tom has been in the electrical field for more than 30 years. He has enjoyed work on projects as diverse as petroleum distribution, wastewater process, conveyors for assembly, general lighting and power for commercial buildings. Additionally, Tom enjoys the challenge of designing a project from the ground up, or offering his expertise as a value engineer to bring a planned project back in line with the budget.
