Mark T. Small is a Principal and Chief Financial Officer of Cleveland Construction. His leadership reflects the long-standing continuance of dependability and responsibility established by Mr. Smalls’ father and founder of Cleveland Construction, Inc., Richard G. Small.

Mark is directly responsible for overseeing all phases of accounting, insurance, bonding, self-insured programs, banking and financial risk management. He is also involved in business development and project administration. He also crossovers and handles financial activities for related family business interests. For Cleveland Construction, he is also involved in General Contracting, Construction Management, self-performing interior construction as well as private development projects, real estate acquisitions.

Mark has received several Excellence in Construction awards from the Associate Builders and Contractors (ABC) for the Ohio Center for Performing Arts, Orange County Convention Center, Tidewater Community College; Terminator 2: 3D at the Universal Studios in Orlando; DAAP Project for the University of Cincinnati, Mentor Maintenance Facility in Mentor, Ohio; Classic Auto’s Luxury Auto Campus Dealerships; and the $40 million historical renovation of The Residences at 668 Euclid in downtown Cleveland.

He is a recipient of Cleveland Crain’s 40 under 40; Past President of A.B.C. Northern Ohio Chapter; National EVP for Associated Builders & Contractors; Contractor of the Year from A.B.C. 

Mark has served on the board(s) for; The Construction Legal Rights Foundation; The Lake Hospital Foundation; The Construction Education Foundation; The Trimmer Education Foundation; The National Center for Construction Education & Research and remains dedicated to training the youth of our industry.

As the Senior Vice President of Construction, Keith Ziegler is responsible for the overall success of Cleveland Construction’s national general contracting operation. Keith joined Cleveland Construction in 1980, developing a deep knowledge of the construction industry and all business functions over the course of his career.

Prior to becoming Senior Vice President of Construction, Mr. Ziegler worked successfully as an Estimator, Project Manager and Vice President for Cleveland Construction.

Mr. Ziegler oversees all facets of the general contracting operations, including project management, estimating and field management. Keith maintains relationships with Cleveland Construction’s clients and works with our project teams to ensure the successful completion of all projects.

Keith has supervised the successful completion of more than three billion dollars of construction over the course of his career with Cleveland Construction. With Keith’s leadership, the general contracting operation will have twenty-five major projects under construction at any given time, representing millions of square feet of space.

His leadership led to the completion of over 50 million square-feet of retail construction, including the new construction of a Walmart Supercenter in Estero, Florida, the Walmart Supercenter expansion and remodel in Kearny, New Jersey, a 67,000 square-foot Ford/Lincoln auto dealershipin Mentor, Ohio, and the new prototypical construction of a Kroger Marketplace in Holland, Ohio.  Keith has been instrumental in the success some of our most prestigious projects, including Tanger Outlets, the World’s Largest Candlewood Suites, Chamblee Retail Village and a new CarMax Auto Superstore in Raleigh, North Carolina. 

Keith holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Lake Erie College. Keith is also holds a LEED GA from the U.S. Green Building Council.

As Vice President of Client Development & Preconstruction, Jason focuses on fostering long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with clients throughout the country. Jason is primarily stationed at our headquarters in Cleveland, OH. 

Having over a decade of experience in all facets of the business, including site supervision, project management and estimating, makes Jason a valuable resource to our clients. Jason not only leads the pursuit of new clients but remains a resource to them at all times.

His responsibilities as the Vice President of Client Development also include overseeing Corporate Licensing, Marketing, Preconstruction, and Estimating. Jason has led the successful pursuit and award of some of our most high-profile projects, including Simon Premium Outlets Norfolk, VA; The AC Hotel Residence Inn Tower at the EpiCentre Charlotte, NC; and the Hotel Arras & The Arras Lofts and Residences in Asheville, NC. 

Jason received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management and his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Akron in Construction Engineering Technology where he was the President of the Student Body. 

He also volunteered as a Trustee and Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for Big Brothers Big Sisters Northeast Ohio for four years. 

Jason holds a LEED GA Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, is OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training Certified, and holds State Contractor Licenses in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
