David, has a long history in the construction dewatering business, getting into the field following his graduation as a Geologist from Iowa State University in 1986.  Pursuing his entrepreneurial spirit, and with the encouragement of family and friends, he founded TerraFirma Earth Technologies in 2014. Fifteen years later, David maintains the role of President, though you will see him in the field often knee deep in mud.   In his off time, David enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, fishing, hiking, riding his Harley, and skiing Taos New Mexico as often as he can.

Josh joined TerraFirma shortly after its conception. Having grown up in the construction business, Josh quickly made himself invaluable to TerraFirma by combining his MIT degree from Baylor University in 2001 with his passion for this business. With a wife and 5 children, all under the age of 7, Josh’s spare time often with the family, visiting is Family’s ranch in the Texas hill country, and an occasional get-away with his wife Anna to bland places like Belgium, Spain, and Papua New Guinea.

Nasser, TerraFirma’s latest addition to its’ family, immigrated to the US from Iran in 1980, and joined TerraFirma in 2018. Though new to TerraFirma, Nasser is not new to dewatering, having 12 years’ experience in designing and implementing practical dewatering solutions to very complex construction projects. Nasser has a wife and two grown children he is very proud of. In Nasser’s spare time he loves bicycling and playing soccer for a local men’s club.

Bairn has a long history in the dewatering, having started as a laborer in 1985, learning the field skills necessary to be the effective Superintendent responsible for TerraFirma’s most complex projects. Bairn’s “can do” attitude makes him invaluable to TerraFirma and its customer’s. There is no hurdle he cannot overcome. In his spare time, he doubles as TerraFirma’s “chef”, preparing barbeque and crawfish for the crew. When he’s not cooking you may cross his path in the Texas Hill County backroads riding his Harley

Benny, having been with TerraFirma nearly from its inception, is TerraFirma’s most experienced driller, having drilled dewatering wells in as diverse locations as the deserts of Palm Springs, California one week, to the Rocky Mountains of Vail Colorado the next. Assign Benny a task, no matter the conditions, and he gets it done. In his spare time, Benny stays busy making new friends. Benny has never met a stranger.

Mario, though TerraFirma’s newest employee, is not new to dewatering. Having started in the construction dewatering business in 1985 as a painter (keeping equipment looking fresh, and new), the job often required him to substitute in the field as a laborer, where he learned the skills of dewatering and to operate specialty equipment. These skills have brought him to where he is today, taking a leadership role in the maintenance and operation of two of TerraFirma’s largest ongoing dewatering/groundwater treatment projects in Boulder, Colorado, where he is currently living. Mario, always willing and able to multi-task, has proven extremely reliable and dedicated to TerraFirma and its customer’s. Overload him though, you will get his “deer in the headlights” look stare with his big round brown eyes. In Mario’s downtime, he enjoys taking care of his truck (always “pine-sol” clean)

Operator/Job Forman. A millennial dedicated to hard work, loyalty, and hip-hop.

Richard, one of TerraFirma’s two millennials, represent TerraFirma’s future. Having started as a laborer, Richard has proven a quick study, working his way up to foreman, learning to operate TerraFirma’s specialty equipment along the way. His dedication to hard work and loyalty is greatly appreciated by TerraFirma and its customers. When the work is done, you will often find Richard with his Beats ear buds in place, jamm’n to the most current hip-hop.
