Scope Of Work
Demolition of 5-story Apartment Complex, import clay/backfill to existing grade, site restoration, and concrete sidewalk repair. In 2012, Dakota completed the demolition of an urban Milwaukee five-story (plus basement) dormitory building for Marquette University called “Newbridge Apartments.” The dormitory building was located on the busy corner of 12th Street and Wells Street. Dakota carefully developed a plan to deal with the high-traffic area. Dakota also had to carefully handle the utilities around the building, and the fact that the building was connected to a 30-story high riser to the east.
Dakota had great communication with the City of Milwaukee to make sure that all permits were handled professionally, all sidewalk protections were properly conducted, and all utilities were properly turned off by licensed professionals. It is vitally important that all utilities, cables, internet lines, and underground lines are studied and researched prior to operation start time to avoid disruption to other businesses located in the area.
