Alan Howkins is the COO of Ben Hur Industrial Constructors, a subsidiary of Ben Hur Construction Company.

Alan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of London. Alan serves on the Board of the NACBE and acts as a trustee to many union apprenticeship Boards.

Alan joined Ben Hur and has been in his current role since 2014.

In his time off, Alan enjoys Formula One racing and vintage auto sports.

John Vogt is the President and COO of Ben Hur Construction Company. His responsibilities include managing the overall operations of the company.

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla. John serves as a Co-Chair for the Ironworkers Local 396 Joint Apprenticeship Committee, Chair of the Messiah Lutheran School Leadership Team, and member of the AGC Professional Development Committee.

John joined Ben Hur in 1987 as a Project Engineer and has been in his current role since 2014.

In his time off, John enjoys hunting, fishing, and time at the lake with family and friends.

Mark Douglas is a Vice President and Division Manager of Ben Hur Construction Company. His responsibilities include managing the Eastern (Cincinnati) Division of Ben Hur.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. Mark serves as a Board member for the Allied Construction Industries (greater Cincinnati’s contractor assocation),  trustee and Co-chair for the Ironworkers Trust Fund of Southern Ohio and Vicinity, and Chairman of the Steel Erectors and Riggers Association. His is also on the Executive Committee of the IMPACT RAB3, and a past Board member and current safety committee member of The Association of Union Constructors.

Mark joined Ben Hur in 1982 and has been in his current role since 1992.

in his time off, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and coaching and watching baseball.

Michael Lutz is a Vice President and Division Manager of Ben Hur Construction Company. His responsibilities include managing the General Construction Division of Ben Hur.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Central Missouri and Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University. Michael is LEED AP certified and is a member of the St. Louis Construction Laborer’s Health and Welfare Board.

Michael joined Ben Hur in 2007 as a Project Manager and has been in his current role since 2017.

In his time off, Michael enjoys hunting, golfing, and playing with his two young daughters.

Philip Stupp is Chairman of Ben Hur Construction Company. He is responsible for board oversight and assists management with strategic planning. Philip holds a bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Philip serves as Chairman of Midwest Bank Centre and Executive Vice-President of Stupp Bros., Inc. He is also on the Boards of the The American Institute of Steel Construction, United Way of Greater St. Louis, and Greater St. Louis Area Council-Boy Scouts of America.

Philip enjoys spending time in Colorado during his time off.

Scott Bullerdick is a Vice President and Division Manager of Ben Hur Construction Company. His responsibilities include managing the Central (Indianapolis) Division of Ben Hur.

Scott attended Marian College, the AGC’s Advanced Management Program, and IMPACT/FMI’s Leadership Experience. Scott serves as an IMPACT RAB 3 member, Ironworkers Local 22 JATC & RIT Trustee, and is a member of the Board for Top Notch. He also serves on the Indiana Subcontractors Association’s Special Events Committee.

Scott joined Ben Hur in 1996 as an Ironworker, became a Project Manager in 2001, Division Manager in 2007, and has been in his current role since 2012.

In his time off, Scott enjoys golfing, boating, and perfecting his meat smoking techniques.

Tom Schmidt is the CFO of Ben Hur Construction Company. His responsibilities include accounting, tax, risk management, loss control, HR and IS/IT.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Mckendree University. Tom is a licensed CPA. He served as Officer and Board member of the St. Louis chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and is a Board member of United Services for Children.

Tom joined Ben Hur in 1994 and has been in his current role since 1997.

In his time off, Tom enjoys traveling with his family and friends.

Bill holds a degree in Business Administration and Labor Economics from the Evening College of the University of Missouri St. Louis. Bill served an appointment by President George H. Bush as Vice Chairman of the Federal Committee of Apprenticeship. He also served as past President of the National Erectors’ Association and its successor T.A.U.C. (The Association of Union Contractors). Bill serves on the Boards of Barnes Jewish Hospital – St. Peters, Lindenwood University, Enterprise Bank, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Bill joined Ben Hur in 1967 and thru his years of service, he leaves a significant mark on the organization.

Christopher Wolf is the Corporate Safety Director of Ben Hur Construction Company. His responsibilities include overall management of the safety program and monitoring the insurance program.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety Management from the University of Central Missouri. Chris is a Certified Safety Professional, member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, and a member of the Executive Safety Committee of the AGC of Missouri.

Chris joined Ben Hur in 2014 and has been in his current role since 2017. Prior to joining Ben Hur, Chris spent 10 years as the Safety Director at Millstone Bangert, Inc.

In his time off, Chris enjoys running (he has completed two marathons). He also enjoys watching his children participate in various athletics and activities.

Lee Wyman is a Vice President and Division Manager of Ben Hur Construction Company. His responsibilities include managing the Western (St. Louis) Division of Ben Hur.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri. Lee is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri.

Lee joined Ben Hur in 2000 as a Project Engineer and has been in his current role since 2014.

In his time off, Lee enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, mountain biking, snowboarding, trying to finish the never ending list of home improvement projects, and fishing when he can.
