Our Story

d’Escoto West, Inc. was established in 1995 (California License No. 706408) with a commitment to provide quality tenant improvements on time and at a fair  rice. Operating from their centrally located office at the Pacific Design Center, d’Escoto West, Inc. is able to provide clients with the best products available for  ffice and retail spaces of the 21st Century. 

Mike Witte, president of d’Escoto West, Inc., has over thirty years of construction experience. Twenty five of those years were geared toward the completion of commercial construction projects in the Los Angeles area. Tenant improvement experience includes dental suites, surgery centers, general medical suites including x-ray rooms, general office suites, retail stores and high-end showrooms. Retail experience includes work in the Pacific Design Center, the Beverly Center and Rodeo Drive. Mr. Witte relocated to Los Angeles from Chicago after receiving his Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Marquette University and his Masters Degree from the University of Chicago. d’Escoto West Inc.’s, ability to respond to the unique requests of clients in all types of tenant improvement projects originates with the understanding of the tenant’s goals and how they can best be achieved. Construction is monitored closely to ensure the quality expected is the delivered. Schedules are strictly enforced to ensure tenants are occupying their space in a timely manner. Construction drawings are carefully analyzed during bidding to minimize change orders. All subcontractors utilized are experts of their trade who exhibit concern for their work and the work of other trades. All these factors contribute to the completion of a successful project in which all members of the team (architect, tenant, owner,  subcontractors, and d’Escoto West, Inc.) can share mutual admiration and pride.

d’Escoto West, Inc.’s experience includes a wide array of Tenant Improvement projects. Projects include high-end showrooms in the PDC, stand-alone retail stores along Melrose Ave and Beverly Blvd., office tenant improvements, restaurants, movie theater renovations, and full floor renovations in office buildings. Project values range from $20,000 to $3,750,000 contracts. All projects, whether small or large, are managed consistently. All projects are staffed accordingly with a Project Manager, Field Superintendent, Project Engineer and the Principal to ensure delivery of a high-quality project.

As demonstrated in the attached Projects List, d’Escoto West, Inc. has a long list of tenant improvement experience in the Los Angeles area. d’Escoto West, Inc has excellent rapport with the Building Department Plancheckers and Inspectors. d’Escoto prides itself in our ability to conform and enforce Building Rules and Regulations to allow for a construction project with minimal disturbance to existing Tenants and schedule delays. In addition,  d’Escoto is able to foresee potential problems and concerns regarding Building Codes and/or Requirements with the plans. In all, d’Escoto West has a proven tenant improvement track
record with incomparable efficiency in the construction schedule and delivery of high quality products to ensure tenants are occupying and paying rent when scheduled.
