Scope Of Work

The highly efficient rectangular plan of this new 404-student school maximizes space for an outdoor playground, while taking advantage of unique, unobstructed pastoral views over the adjacent historic Greenwood Cemetery. Variations in masonry colors and textures subtly break down the scale of the planar street facades and distinguish the organization of uses within the building while still strengthening the visual prominence of the main school entrance.

The Cellar contains storage, mechanical, electrical, custodial office, and workshop spaces along with the Student Dining Facilities and a cellar level walkout ECC playground accessible through the Student Dining. The main Administrative Offices, Kindergarten Classrooms and Student Support are located on the first floor while the upper floors house the balance of the required instructional spaces, classrooms, music and multipurpose exercise room and additional support areas. Other Place of Assembly areas include a Gymatorium located on the Fourth floor. A Mechanical Bulkhead level accommodates additional equipment and the elevator machine room.
