Steve Goring's Bio
With 27 years’ experience in the construction industry Steve has a firm understanding of the construction delivery systems, including of construction management, general contracting, design build and the complete project development phase. He has worked on commercial, retail, educational, industrial, and multi-residential construction projects. He is also well versed in government projects. Steve has estimated and project managed all aspects of construction including determining local government requirements, conceptual design, design development, estimating (including budget analysis and GMP), sub-contractor negotiations, scheduling, and site management to ensure that all projects are completed as designed.
Inherent in Project Development is the requirement to establish a team environment with the client, architect, and subcontractors. Steve excels in developing estimates that works through scope issues before they become contracts. This establishes a working arrangement with the client, helping them to assure that key elements are in place, or planned for, so that there is minimal impact to the schedule and our ability to complete our work on time. Steve has found that this proactive approach ensures repeat clients and referrals.
To unwind and relax, Steve loves to read, enjoys yard work, and spends a lot of time with his 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Steve was in the United States Army for 11 years as a Logistics Control Coordinator. He has been married to his wife Diann now for 14 years!
