Jerry Warder's Bio
Over 30 years ago, Jerry Warder looked at the community of faith and realized that there was a specific need for a company that understood the particular requirements of churches and other houses of worship. Faith-filled people have a need for spaces that are friendly and inviting to the community of their faith. Within the context of beauty and a welcoming spirit, they need spaces that are functional. Houses of worship need spaces that are designed and constructed within a realistic budget that serve both the present and future generations.
Jerry is considered a pioneer in starting a design/build organization that works exclusively with houses of worship. “I wanted to start a company that would allow me to fulfill a personal ministry in service to God and community and, at the same time, allow me use my expertise in the design/build industry. Warder & Associates, Inc. was the perfect solution…dedicated to building houses of worship for all faithful people to the glory of God.”
Jerry spends what free time he has in Annapolis, Maryland or in St. Petersburg, Florida. An adventurer at heart, Jerry skis, pilots aircraft, is an underwater photographer, and enjoys time boating on the Chesapeake. He has done extensive work with the less advantaged, bringing joy to children and helping their families through hands-on gifts and other charitable activities.
Jerry graduated from Columbia Technical Institute where he received the school’s highest achievement award.
Bob Caroleo's Bio
As Supervisor of Construction Projects, Bob Caroleo oversees all projects from dirt to completion, ensuring that everything gets done appropriately and on time. In this capacity, Bob oversees all subcontractors and in-house tradesmen, and coordinates all activities related to the construction site. The Vietnam vet has over 30 years in the construction industry.
Bob has been married to Patricia for more than 37 years and has been blessed with three children and three grandchildren. His son Nicholas is a light heavyweight boxer. The Carroleos currently reside in La Plata, Maryland.
What Bob likes most about his vocation is being outside while he works, the camaraderie of the work site and the appreciation he gets from church, synagogue and temple congregations when the work is finally completed. One of Bob’s vivid memories is of a pastor whose eyes teared up as he was handed the keys to his new, beautiful house of worship. Bob says that it really meant something to him to see that kind of happiness with a project that he had been such an important part of.
Ezra Dorsey's Bio
Ezra Dorsey is Wardergroup’s Site Development Superintendent. As such, Ezra oversees the excavation, utility site work, foundation construction and plumbing teams. He gets the site ready for building, lays the foundation and insures the integrity of the plumbing system.
Ezra considers his family of eight kids, small, having come from a family of 18. Needless to say, he is quite the family man who spends most of his free time taking kids to various sporting and other activities.
Ezra’s father was a Bishop in the church and a contractor, so Ezra grew up with both influences. Now, he says, his mother is pushing him to become involved in church as a Pentecostal Pastor.
In the mean time, Ezra says that it is gratifying to build churches and help communities grow. He also likes working for company president, Jerry Warder. He says he both likes Jerry as an individual and thinks of him as a very fair employer.
