Founded in Atlanta, GA in 1989

by President and CEO, Steve L. Barnes, Bryson Development Company entered the industry as a residential general contracting company focused on home remodeling and renovations. Named after their son and funded by a small family investment, Steve alongside his wife Cindy, operated the business from the porch of their personal residence and began creating the legacy that they would one day pass on to their children and grandchildren. During the firm’s first decade in business it had to overcome some staggering challenges. Spearheaded by Steve’s leadership acumen and a strong sense of faith and determination, the firm outgrew the residential sector and explored expansion opportunities.

Re-established under our current name in 2001, Bryson Constructors, Inc. (Bryson), has been privileged to receive formal mentoring by world renowned majority construction firms allowing the firm to expand and diversify into commercial services. Combined with our team of seasoned industry professionals, talented craftsmen and a skilled collection of specialty contractors, Bryson services have broaden to include Preconstruction, Construction Management, General Construction (Contracting), Design + Build capabilities, CM-At-Risk and Project Management.

Increasing our portfolio of services strengthen our visibility through community and industry involvement. As a result, our 100% minority owned and operated firm became one of the industry’s leading award winning minority firms. We are certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration and registered with the Department of Transportation and multiple Federal, State, and County municipalities. For more than a quarter century, our firm has gained extensive industry knowledge and has developed not only many of Atlanta’s most recognizable structures, but facilities throughout Georgia and the US South Eastern region.
