Our Story

Construction Management Services was incorporated in September of 1997 after Rob Foster spent 20 years as a Project Manager and Owner of Federal Contracting, with the purpose of consulting General Contractors with Project Scheduling and Quality Control documentation and implementation.

In 1998 Rob Foster and Brad Hix, also a previous owner of Federal Contracting, joined forces and established Gateway Construction. Rob sold his interest in Gateway Construction Company at the end of 2000 and reopened Construction Management Services to provide construction services to various entities through out Colorado.

CMS operates throughout the region with clientele ranging from government agencies to property managers. We have completed projects as diverse as building tank ranges at Fort Carson, residential remodels, parks, and tenant finishes for various property managers. We have in house design services for small tenant finish projects and also work with several local architects for larger design build projects.

CMS expanded construction capabilities in 2005 with the addition of our own concrete division. This division was added to expand our capabilities as a company and save our customers cost for their building project. In addition, we were asked by Sentinel Building Systems, a metal building supplier, to become their authorized dealer for the Colorado Springs area. These new additions, to the company, allow us to share considerable savings with our customers.

CMS is the official stormwater management partner with the city of Colorado Springs. We have a five year renewable contract with the city and are on call to perform stormwater erosion control and mitigation when required. We have an additional five year renewable contract with the Colorado Springs to perform ADA work and curb and gutter repair.

We have recently purchased our own fleet of brand new Mack© trucks.  Our new vehicles will allow us to streamline the construction process. We can now work more efficiently, finishing projects sooner, and save money allowing us to bid lower prices to our clients. CMS is always looking for better ways to do business and pass the savings on to our clients.

CMS is a financially strong company with a solid track record and a very talented team of professionals. The company enjoys a wide base of previously established clients and a strong opportunity to develop new clients. The experience of our key personnel and the relationships built with local subcontractors and vendors combine to offer personal attention, substantially superior service and uncompromising quality at the best possible cost for our clients.
