Scope Of Work

A brand new charter school, Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School, received their charter approval in late February, and needed to be up and running by start of the following school year. The school had land, but no building. Less than 6 months to design, build and install over 18,000 square feet of school space was a formidable challenge for the school to overcome. Vanguard Modular Building Systems’ solution was a combination of 9 modules from our fleet inventory, and 12 ‘new from the factory’ floors. In just over 100 days, the entire school building was built, installed, and completed with an occupancy permit.

Housing all school activities for 160 students, the 300′ long modular school building includes 12 classrooms, restrooms, administrative office suite, cafeteria, and a nurse’s office. The school’s exterior was finished with vinyl siding to blend in with the façade of the existing buildings as you enter Old Sturbridge Village.
