Scope Of Work

Lakeside Educational Network is a private school providing struggling students with a high-end therapeutic learning environment.  The secluded and serene school setting helps the individual students feel comfortable, settle in, and begin to make important behavioral changes; so they can begin to achieve the possibilities of their future.  The school’s broadly effective training and education programs continue to drive significant enrollment growth at their Horsham, Pennsylvania school campus.

Lakeside is familiar with the many benefits of modular buildings because of past buildings they have purchased, so when they decided to expand they reached out to Vanguard Modular, their long-time trusted custom modular classroom dealer.  This is Lakeside’s latest school campus expansion encompassing a custom built 15,000+ sq. ft. modular classroom and office building, to help accommodate their ongoing growth.

The school expansion construction project started with topsoil clearing and engineered foundation installation, consisting of 386 piers. Site preparation was performed while the 15 modules were being built at a modular building factory in Georgia.  After their long travel north, the individual building sections were set on the foundations and seamed together to form a single building.  The completed modular classroom building is 210′ x 72′ including 10 classrooms, 18 offices, a break area, gang restrooms, single handicap accessible restrooms, and a central corridor.

Custom modular building features included: LED lighting throughout, carpet tiles and VCT flooring, clear birch solid core fire rated doors, sprinkler system, fire alarms, and roof top HVAC units.  The access systems include three wooden decks and stairs, along with two ramps.
