Opening its doors in 1986, Athens Construction now has over 30 years of growth and experience in the field of general building construction. In 1989 the firm was organized as a corporation in the State of Illinois. The founders steadily pursued their dream of creating a distinguished general contracting firm built on the principles of old world craftsmanship combined with the application of innovative methods and state of the art technology, sensitivity to the environment and honesty in its dealings. 

The principals, having accumulated extensive experience in building are actively involved in the firm’s operations and contribute their expertise to the successful completion of their projects. Athens Construction has completed every single project it has undertaken and has developed a high customer satisfaction record. 

The company maintains its office at 613 West 16th Street Chicago, Illinois and has grown to currently employ over 30 full time employees including its craftsmen, superintendents, managerial and office staff. It holds a Class “A” General Contractor License in the City of Chicago and is a registered general contractor in many of the surrounding suburbs. 

Athens Construction maintains high limits of liability and worker’s compensation insurance coverages and has proudly achieved a current experience modifier of 0.80. The achievement of this low modifier is evidence of the management’s commitment to safety and its emphasis on conducting its operations with safe means and methods for the protection of the public and its employees. 

“Safety First” is a strictly enforced rule which has produced an exceptional safety record for the firm. Athens Construction has not experienced a serious jobsite injury neither has it suffered irreparable property loss in any of its projects. The company’s priority in safety serves as a guarantee to the protection of the client’s interest and insures a smooth operation and predictability in meeting goals set for the completion of the project
