Our Story
The Interior Finish Contractors Association ('IFCA') was founded in 1968 by the principal union finishing contractors in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey Trade Area. IFCA was created to pursue industry practices and policies beneficial to union contractors. The association's Mission Statement is outlined below.
Our purpose is to represent the concerns of IFCA Contractors, both large and small. In this capacity, IFCA's functions include negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements with unions that represent the employees of IFCA's members; promoting the interests of our union trades; providing a conduit for the interchange of information between and among our contractors; dealing with owners, architects and general contractors; assisting, where appropriate, with claims, collections and jurisdictional disputes affecting our members; and taking a pro-active role to promote our industry. In addition, IFCA offers assistance in training and educating our members as well as giving out quality information to help you make better business decisions.
IFCA's budget is created for our members; we spend our industry advancement money on the PROMOTION of UNION CONSTRUCTION. We encourage you to utilize IFCA in a way that adds value to your company!!!
IFCA remains enthusiastic about our commitment to the industry. Our Executive Director is always available to answer questions about the association, to assist in resolving disputes or problems, as well as to help access information about the industry.
