Scope Of Work

Both the church and school were growing in step with the community. Architect David Schultz designed a new contemporary sanctuary in the courtyard between the school and the old sanctuary. The sanctuary has a 40- foot vaulted wood ceiling carried by steel trusses. The contrast in materials is striking and provides excellent acoustics. CBC later re-purposed the old sanctuary to serve as a chapel/classroom/reception area. The school was renovated, and a new addition nearly doubled the size of educational spaces. At the time, this project was a significant financial stretch for the leadership, but the project has proven to be a great investment. Pastor Paul Strand has led this church to maturity in size and ministry. The school has grown and since added more classrooms, and the church is thriving with four services. A new pipe organ was added and the music ministry is thriving.
One of the donors provided for extensive beautiful landscaping for the entire campus. Over $200,000 in volunteer and contractor savings was provided to the church.
