I believe the journey of design and architecture is a partnership based upon strength and assets. We have an important opportunity and a tremendous responsibility to help preserve our environment for future generations.
For more than thirty years I have led design teams as a design principal on a number of significant and complex projects. The projects range from 1,000 acre intermodal industrial masterplans, to 250,000 sf corporate headquarter buildings, athletic clubs and mixed use developments. These diverse experiences provide an opportunity to draw upon a variety of design influences and solutions. Such diversity leads to exceptionally creative projects that are unique in their ability to respond to specific needs and concerns as program, budget and schedule. They are design solutions that create a delicate balance within the realm of four guiding principles – image, function, time and money – as defined by the customer.
My projects illustrate, that with intelligent design, you can redefine space, revitalize relationships, and create new channels for communication. I stand firm in my belief that architecture creates an aesthetic statement that endures in a rapidly evolving world. From programming to completion it is critical to maintain an open, interactive approach to ensure that each design solution responds to specific client concerns.
My experience teaching has helped maintain a fresh connection to those outside the profession. In addition I have learned to listen attentively and modify dissemination of information to maximize the learning capacity of my audiences. This is an important skill as a collaborative approach to design and architecture involves many individuals from many disciplines.
As the design and managing principal of Grey Wolf Studio in Denver, Colorado, I have led the firm through a diverse background of highly successful projects. Many of those projects can be viewed on the website www.greywolfstudio.com. My experience and skills would be an exceptional addition to your global community of designers, managers, and architects.
