Chad Motsinger's Bio
Chad Motsinger, P.E., has worked with Omega Construction for almost 20 years. Chad is responsible for estimating, negotiating and managing many of the company’s private projects. Chad is instrumental in assisting clients during the design development and preconstruction phases to realize substantial savings from alternate methods and schematic layouts. He has managed a wide variety of projects including manufacturing facilities, churches, and hotels.
Chad graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1997 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina. His previous work experience is as the Assistant City Engineer for the City of New Bern, where he was responsible for the water and sewer departments, as well as, for new capital infrastructure projects. Outside of work Chad is very involved in his Church and is also involved in many civic organizations as well as youth athletics.
D. Greg Marshall's Bio
Greg Marshall joined Omega Construction in March 2012 as its Chief Financial Officer. As CFO his responsibilities include all financial aspects of Omega’s business including accounting, finance, risk management, bonding and banking relationships. He is also responsible for Omega’s information technology and human resources while being involved in strategic planning and marketing.
Through working numerous customers over the last 15 years, Mr. Marshall has experience in project financing for a large variety of project types and financing structures and has extensive contacts in the banking and finance industry. In 2015 Mr. Marshall was awarded the Triad Business Journal’s Financial Executive of the Year Award.
Prior to joining Omega, Greg served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of John S. Clark Company, LLC for 12 years. While at JS Clark he was instrumental in helping JS Clark become a recognized leader in the use of technology by helping develop a cutting-edge field data reporting system and implementing a paperless accounting system in 2002, well before technology was widely used in the construction industry. Prior to joining JS Clark in 2000, Greg worked in Public Accounting with 3 regional and national firms. While working in Public Accounting, he gained significant experience in business consulting, accounting, auditing and taxation for construction and real estate firms along with firms in a wide variety of other industries.
Mr. Marshall graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gardner-Webb University in 1990 with a B.S. in Accounting. He is a certified Public Accountant and a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Marshall is highly respected and recognized as a leader among construction finance professionals in the Southeast. He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), having served on national committees and as a member of the Board of the Piedmont Triad Chapter. He is also a Board member of the Northwest Piedmont Development Corporation and Surry County Economic Development Partnership. Greg is involved with several community and civic organizations, including being a Board Member and Treasurer of Millennium Charter Academy, Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 596 and a Deacon and Treasurer of Mount Airy Christian Church.
J. Barry Hennings's Bio
Barry Hennings joined Omega Construction, Inc. in March 2012 and was named its President in August 2012. Under Barry’s leadership, Omega Construction has grown into one of the top private General Contractors in focusing on the Industrial, Hospitality, Retail, Commercial and Design/Build markets. Barry has bottom line responsibility and accountability for the Corporation which includes dozens of projects in multiple southeastern states. Prior to joining Omega, Barry worked for John S. Clark, LLC in Mt. Airy, NC as President/CEO since January 2010. Prior to 2010, he was Executive Vice President of the Mt. Airy office of John S. Clark for 10 years.
Barry graduated Cum Laude from State University in 1984 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and has also completed the Executive Education Advanced Management Program at The Fuqua School of Business of Duke University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a licensed Building Contractor in multiple States. Having recognized the importance of sustainability in construction, he obtained his LEED accreditation in 2009 and is designated a LEED BD +C Accredited Professional. Barry is also involved in many civic and charitable organizations as well as youth athletics.
In addition to his extensive experience in industrial, warehouse, distribution and retail projects, Barry is responsible for hiring Project Managers and Superintendents and has assembled the current staff that has been an instrumental part of Omega’s success. Another corporate responsibility under Barry’s direction is the corporate management policies and procedures including the selection, implementation and training for the current project management and estimating software programs in use by Omega. Barry brings the best practices learned over the past 30 years of construction experience to Omega Construction along with a loyal and dedicated staff.
Kevin B. Hennings's Bio
Kevin Hennings, P.E. joined Omega Construction, Inc. in October, 2012 as Vice-President. Prior to joining Omega, Kevin was Executive Vice-President of John S. Clark Company, LLC serving 16 years at JS Clark in leadership and project management roles, with responsibility for business development, preconstruction services, estimating, scheduling and field operations on a wide variety of projects. He has over 29 years total experience in construction and project management, working in a number of industries in contracting, design and operations.
Kevin has a broad range of experience in project work including industrial, warehousing and distribution, commercial, retail, office, educational and institutional projects. He is well versed in a number of project delivery systems and contracting formats including Design/Build, Guaranteed Maximum Price, Lump Sum, and Construction Management formats. His extensive Design/Build experience includes working with clients from site selection and conceptual design through construction document development and complete project delivery.
Kevin holds BS degrees from N.C. State University in Chemical Engineering and Textile Chemistry. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in both North and South Carolina, and holds LEED AP BD+C accreditation.
Lee F. Cook's Bio
Lee started his career in construction in 1978 while earning his bachelors degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. His career choices have exposed him to practically every facet of construction from field labor to project management. As owner and Vice President, Lee is responsible to assist in all operations including business development, staff recruitment as well as project pursuits.
During his 30-year career, Lee has successfully managed all types of projects including, retail, industrial, institutional and managed a division office with John S. Clark Company.Lee’s background has led him to have extensive knowledge and experience in the estimating process, team assignments, client relationships, evaluation of capability, multidivisional communication monitoring of delivery systems, sales, design and contracting. Lee holds general contractor licenses in NC, SC, VA and TN.
Family is very important to Lee, as he is very thankful to be blessed with a supportive wife and two sons who have both earned their own Civil Engineering Degrees. Outside of work Lee is very active in the community. He has been involved in the Boy Scouts for several decades and currently serves as Assistant Scoutmaster and Eagle Advisor. Lee is also active in his church where he has served on the Trustees for many terms as well as President of the Methodist Men.
Paul R. Covington, Jr's Bio
Paul Covington founded Omega Construction in 1975 and remains its Chief Executive Officer. Paul has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry and puts a personal touch to each project. He has built Omega from the ground up to be a financially strong organization with a talented team of professionals that is considered a leading Contractor in the Southeast. Mr. Covington’s construction experience encompasses all types of commercial projects including hospitality, assisted living, retail, commercial, medical office, churches, industrial, institutional and pre-engineered buildings. He is a past member of the President’s Advisory Council with Kirby Building Systems in Portland, TN. Paul has served on the board of the Surry County Economic Development Partnership.
Mr. Covington attended Appalachian State University. Prior to founding Omega Construction, Paul worked as a Project Manager and Estimator for several contractors. He was also Chief Draftsman and Manager of Customer Service for a major pre-engineered building manufacturer.
W. David Murray's Bio
David Murray, began his career in the construction industry in 1977. He joined John S. Clark Company, LLC in 1978 and during his 34-year tenure with JS Clark obtained broad experience in many different types of construction projects. David is responsible for corporate and project operations on major construction projects and he oversees the design, estimating, scheduling, and site management of various projects and leads the reconstruction services on major projects. David graduated from Clemson University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction.

Matt Pardue's Bio
Matt joined Omega Construction is 2007 and has 8 years construction experience. Matt graduated Magna Cum Laude from Appalachian State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology/Construction and a minor in Community and Regional Planning. He is responsible for the pre bid phase of construction projects as well as estimating and preparing preliminary development drawings. Matt has assisted with various types of projects including hospitality, churches, pre- engineered metal buildings and commercial. He also has three years previous experience in the Residential Construction Market.

Brock Hennings's Bio
Brock joined Omega Construction in 2012 and has over 20 years of experience in construction, electrical and manufacturing industries. Brock is a registered Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from State University and also has attained LEED Accredited status with the US Green Building Council for Sustainable Building Design and Construction. Brock’s strengths lie in his ability to coordinate all aspects of his projects in order to achieve the project’s objectives on time and within budget. His attention to detail assures all components of the Owner’s Program are understood and successfully implemented. Brock has been involved on multiple Design/Build projects including Swedwood, Caesarstone Technologies, and KordSA USA. Brock has also managed CK Technologies 111,340 sf plastics molding facility in Mt. Airy, NC, RTI International Metal’s 343,000 sf Titanium processing facility in Martinsville, VA and CRAiLAR’s flax fiber processing facility in Pamplico, SC. Brock’s responsibilities include estimating and schedule preparation during the preconstruction phase as well as cost, schedule and Program implementation during the construction phase.
Chris Leonard's Bio
Chris joined Omega Construction in 2002 and has over 17 years construction industry experience. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Design from East State University in Johnson City, TN. Chris has been responsible for managing a variety of projects including hotels, churches, medical offices, restaurants, fire departments, ammo holding bunkers, renovations and interior upfits. Chris’ responsibilities include estimating and project management for the company’s public and private projects. Some of his notable projects include Courtyards by Marriott in Summerville, SC, Boone, NC and Statesville, NC, Aloft Hotel in Raleigh, NC, Salem Baptist Church Multipurpose Building, Dobson, NC and the Bethesda Center Offices in Winston Salem, NC. Chris is very involved in youth athletics as well as his church and civic organizations.
David Simmons's Bio
David joined Omega Construction in 2015 and has 30 years’ experience in the construction Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Minor in Computer Science from Wake Forest University. David has experience managing a variety of projects including, churches, universities, schools, apartment complexes, and banks. David’s responsibilities include estimating, pre-construction, purchasing, scheduling and contract administration.
Dustin Hunter's Bio
Dustin Hunter joined Omega Construction in 2012 after spending 8 years as Project Manager with John S. Clark Co. Dustin is a Registered Professional Engineer and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from NorthCarolina State University with a concentration in Structural Design. Dustin attained LEED GA accreditation from the US Green Building Council. He specializes in retail construction with a focus in grocery store anchors. Dustin’s responsibilities include estimating, pre-construction, purchasing, scheduling and contract administration for the projects he manages.
Jeff White's Bio
Jeff White joined Omega Construction as a Project Manager in 2012. Jeff has over 23 years experience in the construction industry both estimating and managing a variety of projects including retail, industrial, commercial, churches and entertainment. Jeff has managed several Design/Build projects utilizing conventional, pre-engineered and hybrid structures. Jeff attended Patrick Henry Community College pursuing Architectural Drafting & Design and spent his early career behind the drawing board as a draftsman for a modular home manufacturer and detailer for a major pre-engineered building manufacturer. Shortly thereafter Jeff joined the ranks as General Contractor and has managed projects throughout the Southeast and Canada. Jeff is also a licensed General Contractor in the state of NC.
Jim Marshall's Bio
Jim Marshall joined Omega in Nov 2018 as a Project Manager. He graduated from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC and has worked extensively in the horizontal and vertical aspects of Commercial and Residential Real Estate, Construction and Development for the last 16 years. Jim has focused for the last 12 years in the luxury residential construction market primarily in the exclusive neighborhoods of Kiawah and Seabrook Island, SC and most recently in Historic Downtown Savannah and The Landings, where he has developed a keen eye for high end finish detail.
Jim’s first assignment with Omega is Project Manager for the Latitude Margaritaville Amenity Project in Hardeeville, SC. Jim’s responsibilities include pre-construction, estimating, subcontractor solicitation, purchasing, scheduling and contract administration for the projects he manages.
Jim is an inactive Licensed SC Homebuilder, and a Licensed Real Estate agent in SC and GA. A native of Savannah, Jim is a professional musician in his spare time and enjoys playing golf, watching College of Charleston Basketball and University of Georgia football. Jim currently resides in Savannah, GA with his wife and three young children.
Kirk Matthews's Bio
Kirk joined Omega Construction in 2012 after previously working for John S. Clark Company. Kirk is a Registered Professional Engineer in and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of at Charlotte. Kirk has attained LEED BD&C Accreditation from the US Green Building Council. Kirk served as the project manager for Caesarstone Technologies USA’s first manufacturing facility in the US, Gildan Wholesale Distribution Group’s Phase III and IV expansions, Albaad’s 70,000 sf expansion to its Reidsville, NC non-woven facility and projects for Merck Pharmaceuticals to expand their Energy Center and BVF refrigerated warehouse facility in Durham, NC. Kirk is responsible for the estimating, scheduling and project management tasks required for his projects including subcontractor solicitation, quantity survey, shop drawing review, job costing, schedule preparation and project close-out.
Matthew Cave's Bio
Matthew Cave joined the Omega Construction team in 2012 as a Senior Project Manager and has 18 years of construction experience. Matthew has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction Management from East Carolina University. Matthew has managed many various types of construction projects including retail, industrial, religious, educational, pharmaceutical, and renovations. Some of Mathew’s notable proejcts include Northwood Plaza Myrtle Beach, SC, Shelter Cove Town Center, Hilton Head, SC, Heritage Crossing Retail, Wlson, NC, Pilot Mountain Middle School and the Forsyth Technical Community College Transportation and Technology Center. Matthew’s responsibilities include estimating, pre-construction, scheduling, safety, purchasing and contract administration. Matthew is OSHA 30 hr certified.
Todd Mayo's Bio
Todd Mayo joined Omega Construction in May, 2018 as the GA Division Manager. He is based in Savannah, GA and has full responsibility for the office. He is excited to lead the Division, and is responsible for the business development, marketing, operations, and all construction projects in the East. Prior to working with Omega Construction, Todd has worked in the Low Country for 16 years with two large commercial and residential contractors. Having worked with many top tier companies in the East, he has obtained a broad range of high end residential and commercial construction knowledge.
With a solid background in Historic Preservation, Todd has expanded his network to succeed in all market sectors around and . Todd’s list of clients and projects include Gulfstream Aerospace, Ports Authority, Ford Motor Company, Memorial Hospital, Savannah College of Art and Design, and a broad range of historic renovations and award winning residential homes. Mr. Mayo has received two Historic Preservation awards, and has been featured in both Magazine and Savannah Magazine in their “Best of Homes” issues.
Todd is a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University. He holds his NASCLA accreditation and is currently licensed in and . Todd and his wife, Jenny, reside in Savannah with their two children. Todd is very active in the community. In his free time, he enjoys coaching little league sports teams, playing golf, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Tyler Cook's Bio
Tyler spent four years in engineering design before coming to Omega Construction in 2014. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University with a concentration in structural design. Tyler earned his Professional Engineering licensure in the fall of 2014. Tyler’s project experience with Omega includes the Caesarstone Technologies project, a 285,000 sf heavy industrial manufacturing facility located in Richmond Hill, GA. He has also assists with the design coordination, preconstruction, estimating, contract procurement, and closeout for projects. Tyler’s time spent in design before transitioning into construction management affords him a unique skill set that is beneficial to the company as well as to the clients that he works with. Tyler is responsible for the preconstruction coordination of projects as well as estimating and preparing preliminary development drawings.

Scott Craver's Bio
Scott has over 35 years of construction experience. He started his construction career working alongside his father building homes, churches and small commercial buildings. After graduating from N.C. State, and working two years in industrial construction, Scott returned home as a partner in his father’s construction company for ten years. In 1995 Scott took a position as a project manager for a major NC commercial construction company. During his 22 years with that company he was responsible for defining and managing project scope for renovation and new construction projects. Other responsibilities included estimating, project buyout, scheduling, assembling design-build teams and project closeout. Scott’s commercial building portfolio includes new construction, industrial construction, numerous varied renovation projects, medical office buildings, clean rooms, data centers, auto dealerships, MRI, CT and X-ray room work, and dialysis centers. Scott has also had the privilege to manage the construction of special projects including: The Forsyth Humane Society, and a specifically designed “Schoolhouse” enabling visually impaired to learn life skills in a home-like environment.
Scott has served his church as Chairman of The Building Committee for a new Family Life Center and served on the board of directors for “A Brighter Path” with Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind. Scott also holds a NC General Contractor’s license and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
