Overall, the teaming of Whitley Construction and E&K on this project was fantastic. The plaster was one of the more difficult parts of this job as much of the required work was based on existing conditions which were near impossible to quantify. Part of this scope required patching of all plaster, regardless of conditions and Whitley/E&K understood their contractual responsibility and followed through on every piece of it. When additional manpower was needed onsite to keep the schedule, it was done with little hesitation and the end-user is very proud of the finished product. While the plaster was the main feature of this project for Whitley/E&K, they were also responsible for exterior insulation, non-structural metal framing, drywall and ACT ceilings. All of this work was performed in a timely manner and with great quality.
In terms of improvement, additional attention could be paid to safety, especially in the use of interior scaffolding. This was by no means a large issue on the jobsite, but could be considered to provide an even higher level of service to contractors in the future.
