Scope Of Work
This new four-story, 105,000-SF residence hall located on UNE’s Biddeford campus offers students two different types of suites — four single bedrooms, and one double and two single bedrooms. All of the suites include kitchenettes with full-sized refrigerators, cabinets, microwaves and sinks, as well as living rooms and spacious bathrooms.
Study lounges are located on each floor, and a large community lounge and fitness center are located on the ground floor. The new 300-bed residence hall also includes laundry and mail facilities, and a community kitchen is located off the main lounge.
Situated across Route 9, the residence hall is connected to the main campus by a pedestrian underpass called “The Gateway.” Site amenities include a pond surrounded by a large green, bordered by a quarter-mile walking/running trail.
The new residence hall is LEED Silver Certified.
