Jennifer Lee 's Bio
Jennifer Lee leads the global legal and compliance function for Dar Holdings USA, which includes T.Y. Lin International Group.
Jennifer has over 15 years of legal experience, including as senior in-house counsel at multiple engineering and construction (E&C) firms and as a civil litigator. She is responsible for all of the company’s legal and compliance affairs, including risk management, contracts, insurance, ethics and compliance, corporate governance, transactions and other legal matters.
She has a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College. She is active in several national and local legal communities, including those promoting diversity and inclusion and construction law.
John Young's Bio
John Young is T.Y. Lin International’s Chief Information Officer. John is responsible for the strategic vision and leadership of Information Technology (IT) for TYLI’s USA operations, and coordination with international offices.
With 20 years of global IT experience in leading technology teams, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and systems infrastructure, John supports the firm in identifying and securing opportunities to increase TYLI’s service capabilities, revenues and profitability.
Joseph M. Yesbeck's Bio
Joe Yesbeck serves as national Director of T. Y. Lin. International’s Rail and Transit Line of Business. In his role, he oversees strategic planning and market sector growth for projects involving the complete planning, design, and construction of railway and bus transit systems, including high-speed rail, light rail, streetcar, freight railways, multi-modal facilities, and maintenance yards.
Joe is a registered professional engineer with over 35 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. His vast experience in transportation planning and engineering have included the management of major transportation projects, especially the evaluation of transportation corridors and project development and environmental (NEPA) studies for transit, rail, and roadways. He has had specific involvement in rail development projects, from commuter rail to light-rail systems.
Mariano Valle's Bio
Mariano Valle is the Director of T.Y. Lin International’s South Region in the United States and the firm’s Caribbean and Latin America (CLA) Division.
With over 25 years of professional experience, Mariano is responsible for the strategic planning, promotion, leadership, and management of key infrastructure and transportation projects across the southern United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America. He also serves as a member of the T.Y. Lin International Board of Directors.
Large-scale projects designed and constructed under Mariano’s direction include airports, long span bridges, and rail and transit systems. Such projects include: Line 1 and 2 (currently under construction) of the Panama Metro in Panama City, Panama, the largest Metro system in Central America; the Lima Metro Line 1, the largest engineering project completed to date in Peru’s history; El Dorado I and II International Airports Master Plans in Bogota, Colombia; the Puerto Montt Airport New Passenger Terminal in Puerto Montt, Chile; and the I-395 Reconstruction Project in Miami, Florida.
Mark Ashley's Bio
Mark Ashley serves as T.Y. Lin International's Senior Vice President and West Region Director. Mark is a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of transportation projects.
His broad background covers bridge, highway, transit, rail, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure and he has a strong technical foundation in structures. Mark began his career with the California Department of Transportation where he served as a bridge engineer.
In the area of transportation project development, Mark has a proven track record as an accountable and reliable project manager with a strong working knowledge of the various technical disciplines involved and proficiency in effective project control processes. Mark possesses strong communications and leadership skills which help foster a synergistic team environment. He has been responsible for delivery of transportation projects with values exceeding $100 million. Mark currently provides Program Management Oversight to the California High Speed Rail Authority for this high-profile project that service residents statewide.
Mark is an active contributor to the community and continues to serve in leadership capacities in numerous organizations. He is Past President of the San Diego Section of ASCE and the San Diego Highway Development Association and served as chair of the ACEC/Caltrans Structures Liaison Committee for over 10 years.
Marwan Nader's Bio
Marwan Nader is Technical Director of T.Y. Lin International's Bridge Line of Business and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He has over 25 years of experience in the design and construction of long-span bridges.
Currently serving as Lead Design Engineer for the New Champlain Bridge over the St. Lawrence River in Montréal, Canada, Marwan was recently Lead Designer and Project Manager for the award-winning Self-Anchored Suspension Span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. He was also Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the detailed design of the cable dehumidification system for the main suspension cables of the William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge in Maryland. This is the first cable dehumidification system of its kind to be installed in North America. Other important projects include the Panama Canal Second Crossing, the Bandra Worli Bridge in India, and the Wadi Abdoun Bridge in Jordan.
Marwan earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), focusing on the seismic performance of steel structures. In 2014, he was appointed to the UC Berkeley Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Advisory Council, a select committee of professional engineers, leaders in business and higher education, and government/policy officials dedicated to contributing to a dynamic, robust civil and environmental engineering profession and furthering the important role of engineering education and research for addressing societal problems. He was also inducted into the 2015 Class of the CEE Academy of Distinguished Alumni.
In 2016, the International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS) honored Marwan with the IABMAS Senior Prize in recognition of his significant contributions to bridge engineering. He received a Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award from his alma mater, the American University of Beirut, in 2014. Marwan also won the ASCE Arthur M. Wellington Award in 2004.
Matthew G. Cummings 's Bio
A proven executive leader with over 30 years of comprehensive experience in the engineering field, Matthew (Matt) G. Cummings serves as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), overseeing the strategic direction and market growth of T.Y. Lin International Group’s global operations.
Matt also serves as CEO of the Global Infrastructure Pillar of Dar Group, T.Y. Lin International Group’s parent company. He has direct responsibility for leveraging and uniting the technological expertise of the firm and its affiliate companies to form an expanded, global presence.
In addition to his professional roles, Matt has held important industry leadership positions, including as past Chairman of the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) and as past President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA).
In 2019, Matt was selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to receive the John I. Parcel-Leif J. Sverdrup Civil Engineering Management Award for his definitive contribution to the field of civil engineering management, evidenced by exemplary character, professional integrity, and national reputation.
Paula C. Pienton 's Bio
Paula Pienton serves as T.Y. Lin International’s Central Region Director and is responsible for managing the firm’s office in Chicago, Illinois.
With more than 30 years of professional experience, Paula is respected industrywide for her project leadership, especially in the Rail and Transit sector. Her technical expertise includes rail and transit engineering and planning projects, capital planning and programming efforts, engineering and inspection services, and construction management for all modes of transportation.
Paula’s past leadership roles have included establishing the direction, marketing, and business development activities for transit and freight rail clients across North America. This includes serving as the Transportation Business Group Manager for the Chicago Region of an international firm while overseeing significant Department of Transportation (DOT) projects.
Paula is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Technical Committee of the Metropolitan Planning Commission of Chicago. She also serves as Committee Chair of the Public Transit Committee of the Illinois chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
In addition, Paula remains actively engaged with Women in Transportation International (WTS), where she serves on the WTS Foundation Board of Directors as Treasurer. Paula is also committed to her alma mater, the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where she serves as an officer of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Association.
Richard A. Waters's Bio
Rick Waters serves as the firm's national Aviation Line of Business Director. Rick is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the firm's growing Aviation practice, as well as overseeing all domestic and international airport projects from a marketing and business development perspective to project execution and delivery.
During his 30-year career as an engineer, Rick has held a wide variety of positions from design engineer for small general aviation airport projects to program manager for billion dollar capital programs at domestic and international airports.
His expertise includes the planning, design, and construction administration for airside, landside, and support infrastructure facilities for both commercial and general aviation airports. His projects are completed in accordance with both Federal Aviation Administration and International Civil Aviation Organization standards.
Richard R. Garcia's Bio
Richard Garcia is a key member of T. Y. Lin International’s Leadership Team and serves as Executive Vice President for Lindbergh & Associates, a T. Y. Lin International Company, based in Charleston, South Carolina.
In his role, Richard oversees strategic planning and market sector growth for architectural and engineering services in the Federal, Municipal, Higher Education, and Industrial sectors. He is also responsible for overseeing the firm’s 32-person office in Charleston, which is one of the largest combined architecture and engineering providers in the Tri-county area.
Richard is a registered professional engineer with more than 28 years of experience, including extensive project/program management experience on federal projects in the southeastern United States. He has successfully managed numerous Federal ID/IQ for Architecture/Engineering, environmental restoration, and construction contracts, and excels at directing and supervising technical staff on major projects of above-average complexity.
Richard is active in industry associations such as the Society of American Military Engineers, Charleston Chapter, for which he serves as Deputy Regional Vice President for the Carolinas, and the International Facility Management Association. He holds Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accreditation.
Robert Radley's Bio
Robert Radley is the Director of T.Y. Lin International's East Region where he is responsible for managing the firm's New England, East, and Mid-Atlantic District offices and a staff of over 250 professionals.
Additionally, he oversees the Federal Line of Business for the firm. His duties include direct involvement in major infrastructure projects up to $ 1.2Billion, including the deployment of alternative delivery methods such as design-build and public private partnerships.
Bob has 30 years experience in the development, design, and construction of public and private infrastructure projects. His expertise includes both horizontal and vertical construction, and he has been involved in projects across market sectors throughout New York State and beyond. Bob has a long history of public service, including serving as a Board Member and Chairman (2009-2010) for the New York State Council of Engineering Companies, as a Member of the UNICON Board of Directors, and as the RGRTA Commissioner for Genesee County (2006-2007).
Tony Peterson 's Bio
Tony Peterson has 36 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry. In his role as President of T. Y. Lin International Group Ltd., Tony has direct responsibility for the firm's operations in China and Southeast Asia.
Tony is a member of the Board of Directors and he plays a significant role in setting the strategic direction of the T.Y. Lin International companies. Tony is directly involved in the acquisition of domestic and international companies for T.Y. Lin International and T.Y. Lin International's sister companies as well.
Veronica Fennie's Bio
Veronica Fennie, Chief Accounting Officer, is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions for T.Y. Lin International.
With more than 25 years of experience overseeing all aspects of accounting and finances for architectural and engineering firms, Veronica brings a wealth of knowledge, specifically the integration of accounting and finance systems for small and midsize consulting firms. A multi-lingual speaker, she is a member of the Bay Area Financial Officers Group and American Management Association.

Ami Lovelace's Bio
Ami Lovelace oversees all areas of Human Resources for T.Y. Lin International, managing corporate human resources staff and supporting offices across the firm’s U.S. operations.
As a member of the T.Y. Lin International leadership team, Ami is responsible for implementing strategic human resources initiatives that increase organizational effectiveness, build a consistent company culture, and promote success at the firm. She also manages legal compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
Her well-established experience includes the development, implementation, and communication of policies and procedures, benefit plans, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and safety and health measures.
Ami achieved Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and is a current member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). In addition, she is a member of the SHRM Advocacy Team, which advances human resources policies by working with the State and Federal Legislative Branches of the U.S. Government. She is also a member of the Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA).
Maximo Fajardo's Bio
Max Fajardo's experience in operations, commissioning, and facilities activation has led to the firm's development of the Activation Services Line of Business. He is presently serving as the firm's representative in the country of Panama.
Max has more than 37 years of experience in the areas of engineering, construction management, aviation and engineering management. He has worked in the private and public sectors, and he has been responsible for the design of airport terminals, hospitals, data centers, schools, special systems, and many other facilities.
As Deputy Director for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, overseeing the operations of Miami International Airport and four general aviation airports, Max was directly responsible for their $6.3B Capital Improvement Program, which included the $1.1 Billion Terminal South and $2.8 Billion Terminal North Expansion Projects. Max previously served as an adjunct professor in maintenance, risk assessment, hazard mitigation and emergency planning for the Airports Council International (ACI) Fund and at the University of Miami.
Sajid Abbas's Bio
Sajid Abbas specializes in the design and analysis of long-span bridges in areas of high seismicity, applying his extensive knowledge of the design of iconic bridge structures in the United States, Asia, and the Middle East.
Sajid earned his Ph.D. from University of California at Berkeley with emphasis on the design of cable-supported bridges. His training is in bridge design, earthquake engineering and linear and nonlinear analysis of long-span bridge structures. Sajid is also an expert in bridge dismantling, having worked with the California Department of Transportation on several dismantling projects for the original San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.
Joining T. Y. Lin International in 1994, Sajid’s portfolio of work for the firm spans the globe and ranges from network arch to concrete segmental and cable-supported bridges. His mastery of segmental design and construction is evidenced by such projects as the award-winning Skyway component of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge New East Span and the New Benicia-Martinez Bridge, both located in high seismic zones in California, as well as the Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge in Bangladesh - the first bridge in the country’s history to cross the Jamuna River.
Sajid is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
