Scope Of Work

TYLI is a major subconsultant providing civil engineering, environmental, survey services and structural support under an 8(a) set aside 5 year, $12 million indefinite delivery contract. This contract includes design work analysis, surveys, wetlands delineation/mitigation, permitting, design charettes, parametric design and BIM. Work can include renovation and new building design. Examples of potential repair or renovation project include whole building renovation, repairs or replacement of architectural elements, building seismic upgrades, repair or replacement of mechanical, electrical or fire protection/detection systems: asbestos and lead abatement services related to building renovation or demolition, renovation of historic structures, and academic facilities. Examples of new buildings and structures includes academic facilities, academic labs, vehicle maintenance facilities, sport facilities, administrative facilities, industrial facilities, ranges, training facilities, barracks/dorms, and dining facilities.

Tasks to-date under our 5-year contract involves 3D laser scanning services for the Cadet Chapel at the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) at West Point in New York. Cadet Chapel is a famous landmark and symbol of religious activities at USMA. It was designed originally by the renowned architectural firm Cram, Goodhue & Ferguson, dedicated in 1910. The chapel is in need of structural, roofing, exterior and ventilation renovations due to its age. One of the Chapel's most unique components is its one of a kind organ, the largest organ on record. USMA is preparing a holistic design to address multiple renovations to ensure survival of the chapel and organ for another 100 years. TYLI is providing a detailed 3D laser scan of the building to ensure all historic details are properly captured.
