Born and raised a Kansas boy, GPI Defense founder and CEO Troy began his career with the US Army. After the service, he went into Law Enforcement where he served as a police officer and deputy sheriff. Shortly after, he moved to Salem, Oregon where he met his wife, Charity.
In 2011, Troy moved his family to Houston, TX. Due to his military and law enforcement background, Troy began consulting for numerous security companies.
Consequently, he began to notice a trend. Most security companies lacked the necessary skills and training to provide the level of protection their clients needed. Furthermore, their guards were not reliable enough to show up on time, if at all.
As a result, Troy decided to start his own security company: GPI Defense.
Based in Spring Texas, a suburb of Houston Texas, GPI Defense offers a variety of security services but specialize in Executive Protection and Crisis Response.
GPI Defense currently operates in all 50 states and are now accepting jobs overseas.
