Our Story
More Than Just Progress Photography
DBE-, WBE- and SBA-certified. Progress photography, videography and aerial coverage for construction, infrastructure and environmental projects. With more than 20 years’ experience as a professional photographer, Suzanne Allman leads a team of seasoned, detail-oriented, skilled pros, energetic in their craft and responsive to your project’s needs.
But we're more than just progress photography. While we can read blueprints, we also have an eye for marketing photography. We bring years of photojournalism* experience to your project, so while you're meeting contract obligations, you can also be building a library of customer-facing images, perfect for telling your story. We include "feature" photography with all our projects, so your social media photo stream doesn't run dry, and your marketing department has plenty to work with.
Our project resume includes photography and videography of heavy civil projects, dam removal and river restoration projects, wetland and tidal restoration projects, habitat restoration in riverine and tidal settings, culvert replacement projects, streamflow monitoring, waste water treatment plant upgrades, forestry management, invasive species surveys and removal, abandoned mine rehabilitation, and more.

We love delivering progress photography that tells your story. Our photographers are trained in construction photography, but have backgrounds in photojournalism and commercial photography, providing photographs that can also be used in your in-house deliverables, marketing materials, social media and more.
While we're fulfilling your contract requirements, we'll also be working to build your image library for marketing deliverables: in-house publications, annual reports, social media use, and whatever else you can think of that will enhance your image.

We love a good dam removal project.
\r\nWe've photographed and filmed many dam removal projects, from the small mill pond to the large urban/industrial run-of-river dams, from pre-bid meetings to groundbreaking ceremonies to a year after removal, when a river is in full recovery. They're never ordinary demolition projects.
\r\nDam removal is becoming more commonplace, as aging or dangerous dams require continued maintenance or removal, and the cost can cause "sticker shock". Private dam owners and municipalities alike may face millions of dollars in repair costs, and may decide that removal is a better option for financial and liability reasons.
\r\n
More than that, more towns and dam owners are realizing the ecological benefits that come with removing a dam and releasing a river to its former, fast-moving glory. Fish stock recover and are able to return to their former spawning grounds; floodplains develop and help mitigate storm effects; riverbeds are scoured to reveal complex habitats for microinvertebrates.
\r\nWhether a simple project involving a single site visit, or a multi-month project requiring multiple visits, we take great care to document your project in a way that reflects the changes occurring to a river's hydrology, pre- and post-removal.
