Trevor W. Readdick's Bio
The Readdick's have ties to Camden County dating back to the late 1700s. In the early 1970s, Trevor's grandparents purchased 18 acres of Plum Orchard on Cumberland Island. They built a four bedroom, wood framed house where my family enjoyed many weekends of entertainment. His grandfather, Wilbur Readdick, was the developer of Bristol Hammock, owned a timber cutting business as well as a saw mill, and was a heavy equipment owner-operator. His father, Rocky Readdick, owns an electrical and HVAC repair company. Trevor's experience in the construction field began at the age of 5 when he followed his grandfather and uncles to work. He was driving heavy equipment at the age of 7. From the ages of 12 to 17, Trevor worked in electrical and HVAC with his father.
Trevor was heavily involved in Camden County High School's construction program and Skills USA, where he won numerous awards at the state level. When it came time for college, it was clear what his program of study needed to be. Trevor chose to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management from Georgia Southern University. In school, he excelled in all of his classes while playing a vital role as Vice President of the Construction Management Guild. Trevor also was an active student member of the National Association of Home Builders, (NAHB). Georgia Southern travels to the NAHB International Builder's Show every year to compete against students across the country and he was fortunate enough to travel with them twice.
After graduation from GSU, Trevor spent three years as an Outside Plant Engineer and Construction Manager for TDS Telecom in Saint Marys. During his time at TDS, he founded Readdick Construction as a side job, buying and selling foreclosed properties while sparing no expense in restoring them. In fact, he guarantees that each home that he completed is of better quality than it was the day it was built. Remodeling homes helped him determine how passionate he was about constructing homes with the best quality so he decided to put his emphasis on new construction. The local market has a growing demand for new construction again and Readdick Construction is now offering spec homes in several subdivisions.
