Bryan Yoder grew up in the small Amish/Mennonite community of Kalona,
Iowa. It was here that he developed a strong work ethic at an early
age. At the young age of 7, he started delivering newspapers. By age
10, he was working and training others in the tomato fields. From age
14-19 he worked at his uncle’s dairy farm, every night except
Sundays. In 1993, Bryan began his career in construction helping a
local builder, and developed his love for carpentry.
Three years later he moved to Oklahoma to attend a Bible College. In
1998, Bryan knew it was time to start his own construction company.
While in Oklahoma his company grew very fast. Bryan began doing
custom woodworking on new homes and expanded into commercial projects.
With more employees and more projects, in 2001, Yoder Construction
became incorporated. Bryan and his team did custom work for Rhema
Bible Training Center and Fuddruckers in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. And
later, they installed the entire millwork of the front wall and stage
of Louisiana State University’s Athletic Auditorium. The work they
did here was said by professionals to be architecturally impossible,
but they succeeded with masterful woodworking.
In 2003, Bryan moved to Illinois to help pioneer a church
while also continuing his custom wood working business. A year later
he married his wife Angela. Today they reside in Treynor, Iowa with
their four children, Cole, Aliyah, Gage and Ethan. As a family they
share a love for the construction process. Since moving to Iowa,
Yoder Construction, Inc. has expanded to project management, storm
restoration, custom home building, commercial remodeling and steel
building erection.
