Scope Of Work
The work included construction of a one-story fitness center totaling approximately 25,000 s.f. The building features three high bay areas for free weight, cardio and group exercise programs, plus locker and shower rooms, saunas, administration and support / maintenance areas. Exterior walls consist of brick and decorative CMU veneer over gypsum sheathing and a metal stud backup. The structural system of the fitness center consists of steel columns, beams and trusses. The equipment storage building has load-bearing masonry walls. The roof system consists of curved architectural standing seam metal roof panels over rigid insulation and a structural metal deck. The work also included all related site, civil, landscape, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, communications and other incidental items required for a complete and usable facility. The project obtained LEED Silver Certification.
