Solidus

Adam joined Solidus in 2020. He brings proven skills as a relationship builder and sales veteran with a deep understanding of construction and financial services. He most recently worked in sales for a large design-build firm and has prior experience in the pharmaceutical, transportation and software industries.

Adam loves sports and spending time with his family. A graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a degree in economics, Adam currently resides in Pittsburgh, Penn. with his wife and two children.

Alan has almost 35 years of experience in design and construction for the financial industry and has worked in various capacities including interior design, sales, and project management. His areas of expertise span both the technical and creative aspects of design-build projects, as well as building a presence in new trade areas. Alan resides in Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters, and in his spare time he enjoys cycling and participates in several charity rides for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Brian has more than 20 years' experience in business ownership and management. A graduate of Colorado State University and a licensed general contractor in Alaska for over 15 years, he is an avid adventurer and global traveler, having completed ultra-marathons around the world. Brian leads Solidus' operations, strategic leadership, and business development. He resides in West Hartford, Conn., with his wife of 18 years and their three children.

Courtney has over 30 years of experience in the financial and retail, design and construction services industry. His tenure includes the delivery of numerous prototype designs as well as extensive roll-outs aligning the institutions branching initiatives with their business objectives. Before joining Solidus in 2011, Courtney served as Chief Operating Officer for a national firm providing brand positioning, retail communications, design and construction services to national, regional and community banks. He is an effective source of help and information for existing and potential clients who need realistic project-planning advice and guidance.

John's versatile industry experience and background in business administration have been instrumental in growing Solidus company assets. He's filled several roles in the Solidus organization, ranging from Account Executive to Chief Financial Officer. John's business and finance background has been a factor in his determination that Solidus diversify into other areas, including medical, education and insurance. John is focused on the continued success of the company through intelligent decision-making and fiscal responsibility.

Mark has been a leading voice on innovative branch design for decades, and continues to push the boundaries of how banks and credit unions can evolve to better serve their communities. His vision of providing superlative customer experience via data, efficiencies, staffing models and technology has placed Solidus at the vanguard of design-build for the financial industry. Mark's commitment to devising ever-more efficient forms of project management is supported by 35 years' experience supplying information and guidance.

Tony has a strong background in both commercial construction and finance management with over 30 years of combined experience in these industries. As a graduate of Central Connecticut State University his career path has since fostered a unique blend of qualifications and skills.  For 20 years he concurrently served as the CFO for two commercial contractors in the state of Connecticut. When he’s not contributing his valuable leadership to our accounting team, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.

Dave’s expertise in project cost management ensures materials and resources are properly allocated and jobs fall within time and cost limits. He organizes projects into detailed phases, as well as works both internally and externally with professional contractors, a keystone role in the business. Dave’s a valued resource for solving technical problems and assigning quality personnel to specific projects. His great experience and personality have earned him the respect of subcontractors and building officials alike. Dave has been with Solidus since 1995.

Aside from an incredibly strong work ethic and a great sense of humor, James also has over 22 years of construction knowledge and field experience. Having served as a laborer, facilities manager, foreman, and superintendent on several multi-million-dollar renovations and ground-up builds; he has a comprehensive understanding of this industry. His level of expertise has become increasingly difficult to find, making him an invaluable member of the Solidus team. He is also an avid hunter, welder, and mechanics enthusiast.

Allison most recently served as operations manager for The Shoppes at Buckland Hills, and previously worked for The Savings Institute Bank & Trust where she managed risk, facilities, and security. She was formerly on the board of directors for United Services, a mental health and human services organization that serves northeastern Connecticut. Allison resides in Ashford, Conn. with her two children, ages 14 and 5. She enjoys golf and playing the violin.

Greg has a background in both civil and commercial construction. He served in project manager roles with Liberty Bank and Newmark Knight & Frank, as a contractor for Pratt & Whitney in Middletown. He earlier worked as a project manager and estimator with Tilcon CT, a heavy highway construction firm. Greg is working toward a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management at Central Connecticut State University. He holds a certificate in Construction Management from Capital Community College and an Electrical Certification from Porter and Chester Institute. Greg is proficient with construction management software platforms such as Pro Core, HCSS, and Trimble Business Center HCE. He is also OSHA 30 certified. Greg lives in Colchester with his wife and two daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, running, and camping.

Jennifer oversees project management, coordinates Solidus site supervisors, provides workforce training, and develops the company’s health and safety standards. She also administers job site and logistic plans.

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Jen has been with Solidus since 1994. She facilitates communications with architects, designers, engineers, city officials, manufacturers, subcontractors, and clients using a wide range of construction project management and financial software applications.

Kendall uses skills acquired over decades of experience to oversee Solidus commercial flooring projects. His family was in the flooring business when Kendall was very young, and his practical abilities in flooring extend all the way back to his teens. Kendall is an accomplished ceramic and flooring mechanic. Kendall has been with Solidus since 2016.

Ray brings more than 30 years’ Project Management experience in the residential and commercial design fields. He has lived and worked in several different US regions during his career. He’s had the pleasure and privilege of working with celebrities in the music industry, as well as providing residential interior design services for private clients, commercial design and project management for corporate clients. Ray’s skill-set encompasses design, layout, furniture, lighting and color selection, coordination of project planning, administration, and construction. From individual offices to a variety of public and commercial spaces, he’s worked within our team to offer creative, current and timeless design providing quality results that exceed client expectations. Ray has been with Solidus since 2014.

Charlie has worked with financial industry executives for over 25 years with a focus on integrated technology, design and construction. He joined Solidus in 2013, bringing industry knowledge that helps successfully execute projects from small renovations to significant sized new construction. Charlie is happy to be a resource for clients, and is always mindful of the fact that no single approach is the right one for every individual or project. He describes his relationships with clients as "trust-building exercises rather than a hard close".

Ian has been a marketer, researcher, writer, and content creator for over 15 years. He is responsible for maintaining and producing content for the Solidus website and blog, designing marketing collateral, company email newsletters, and company presentations. He also researches and writes white papers, and contributes articles to external publications in the banking industry.

Patty joined Solidus in 2019. She grew up in Alaska where for 16 years she co-owned a construction company with her husband (Brian) and was responsible for the company’s books and finances. Patty enjoys spending time with her three children outdoors, especially cheering on their athletic and creative endeavors.

Doug advises the Solidus executive team on management, planning and strategic marketing initiatives. He is skilled at business development and communications, drawing on decades of experience in economic development, public relations, market research, event planning and media relations. Doug earned a master’s degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and completed his undergraduate work in journalism at UConn. He’s an admitted sports nut, particularly pro and college football, adopting of late the Oklahoma Sooners where two of his three children attend college. Doug also loves travel, having visited all 50 states, many with his wife of 30+ years.

Over the last 25 years, Jill has provided administrative and managerial support in several sectors that are relevant to the construction industry. Her work within the Office of Public Works for the town of Vernon has given her a solid understanding of state compliance laws and requirements. As a former electronic rep for a small, local bank in Connecticut, she is familiar with the day-to-day operations of these institutions.

Having been with Solidus since 1995, Ray served 20 years with the company proving his versatility in a number of disciplines, including commercial carpentry, drywall, hardware, acoustical ceilings, project supervision, and scheduling. In a new role with the company, Ray has been a Solidus Estimator since September 2015, and is now responsible for determining construction costs, field verification, site visits, and material take-offs. He still provides occasional construction field support when needed.
