Reid Builders, founded in 2012 with Robert J. Reid, Jr. as principal, has assembled a professional team of project managers, site supervisors, carpenters, and many dependable, proven sub-contractors with established Nantucket roots. Reid Builders manages projects from the outset, working with both the client and architect to improve time efficiency and maximize economic resources. They have an extensive knowledge of materials, their technical properties, availability, and cost, as well as the availability and quality of labor. This ensures predictability in planning and scheduling as well as building with Nantucket’s unique challenges in consideration.

Rob Reid has wide ranging experience in the management of the building process for high-end commercial and residential projects on Nantucket. He has an intimate knowledge of the construction process having worked his way through all phases of a project ultimately becoming Shop Manager and Project Manager for Bruce Killen, one of the premier contractors on Nantucket. Since 1986 Rob has been responsible for the completion of many custom homes and commercial projects on Nantucket.
