Dan Dolan brings many years of experience and hard work into his
company. It all started back in 1979 when Dan pursued a career in
petroleum exploration working on offshore drilling ships. Traveling
around the world, the job demanded rigorous working hours and months
away from home. After ten years in the industry Dan settled down in
Iowa, trained and graduated as an electrician, and with his wife
Celeste, started his family. His career in real estate started in the
mid-eighties when he began purchasing homes to renovate and rent. The
transition into building homes was a natural progression upon the
realization that building new homes would make more housing available
in the community than renovating existing older homes. In 1991 he
began building and selling homes, and in 1995 he acquired land for the
first sub-division in Blue Grass, with the first home being offered
for sale in 1997. To date, Dan Dolan Homes has successfully completed
over 200 homes, with many more on the horizon.
Dan Dolan has been recognized in the industry with many awards, including:
– Class valedictorian IBEW Journeyman Electrician, class of 1991
– Quad City Homebuilders Association Best Parade Home
– Mid American Energy Advantage New Homes Program, Winners Circle
2005, 2006, & 2007
– Business Advisory Council’s 2006 Businessman of the Year
Dan’s strategy of vertically integrating the business, from land
acquisition through development, home construction, and marketing,
allows his company to provide a home of the highest quality and at a
very affordable price. Dan’s efforts at building Energy Star efficient
housing has resulted in being 100% energy compliant in 2008 &
2009, which received by his clients and led to lifelong savings.
Dan continues this tradition of excellence by building energy
efficient and affordable homes for all of his customers. He resides in
rural Muscatine with his wife Celeste and five children, whom he
credits with helping him to become the success that he is today.
