Andy Holmes's Bio
A Murfreesboro resident since 1985 and a MTSU Business Management graduate, Andy Holmes has overseen the construction of over 600 home construction projects across the greater Rutherford County area. During his time at Ole South Properties, Andy was in charge of large inventories of homes.
By merging his skills from his roots of hand crafted carpentry with his knowledge gained from production and custom home building, Andy has transformed his passion into an art form and enjoyed 15+ years in this industry. He knew homeowners deserved a custom crafted house complete with their personal character. Andy’s unique ability to see past the blueprint and translate his passion for creativity into a home is a gift and skill unparalleled by any other. Through his vast network of home building professionals, Andy takes pride in utilizing the expansive talents of life long friends to bring your home to life.
Outside of his responsibilities at Holmes by Design, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife, Danielle, and their two sons Asher and Abel. You can often find Andy grilling, riding dirt bikes, fishing, wood working or at a concert.

Johnny Case's Bio
Johnny’s attention to detail, high standards for quality construction, and years of experience in the industry was a natural fit for Holmes by Design. Johnny cut his teeth at Haynes Brothers Lumber Co. as a trim carpenter apprentice right out of college, and soon worked his way up to multiple roles and job sites as a superintendent. Due to his vast professional experience, Johnny boasts a knack for quick thinking and a jack of all trades mentality. From hanging a picture to hanging crown molding, Johnny’s diverse skills translate into speed and efficiency on the job. When not creating one-of-a-kind custom homes for our clients, you can find Johnny, also known as the King of One Liners, fishing and hunting with friends and family.
Laura Roney Smith's Bio
A born and raised Murfreesboro native, Laura Roney Smith is a graduate from the Interior Design Program at Middle Tennessee State University. While receiving her Bachelor of Science degree, she also received a minor in Human Sciences. Therefore, she understands design and form, along with the functionality and characterizations of human beings within a space. As it’s said, “form follows function”!
Laura previously worked at the Tractor Supply Co. corporate office in the purchasing department. This opportunity led her to gain experience in corporate procurement, contract, service bidding, and contract/vendor review and vetting. In addition, Laura has worked in property management for multi-family housing properties.
Laura’s professional experience also includes high-end residential and commercial remodeling as the in-house designer for a contracting company where she worked side-by-side with engineers and contractors to create one-of-a-kind homes, spaces, and more.
Outside of providing Holmes by Design clients with a positive experience and gorgeous interior design, you can find Laura outside, at a concert, a football game, or hanging with her family. She is recently married and very excited about all the adventures this new chapter of her life will bring. Her dream is to one day own land with her very own horse barn.
Mike Sica's Bio
Mike Sica is the a Project Manager at Holmes by Design. From driving heavy machinery to clear lots to assembling furniture and supporting subcontractors and everything in between, Mike does it all.
Mike's no stranger to service and hard work. He proudly put in 12 years with the United States Army. After 2 tours and an injury by an IED, he retired to civilian life. Today he is a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and loves spending time with his beautiful wife Shannon and three kids: Hailey, Johnny, and C.J..
Nikki Cochrane's Bio
Nikki Cochrane handles many things around the office including accounting, taking care of permits, getting water & sewer taps, office management, and whatever else comes up in the day. When she is not in the office, Nikki enjoys spending time with her family including her little girl. Nikki loves the beach and travels there often. She went to the University of Memphis where she played soccer all 4 years of school. Go Tigers!

Danielle Holmes's Bio
Danielle Holmes (aka the "Mrs.") is a licensed real estate agent who focuses on new construction. Whether it's in a neighborhood or on an independent lot, she works with buyers to help locate the perfect property and floor plan to build their dream home. She holds her license at Parks here in Murfreesboro.
In addition to real estate, Danielle is the co-owner of Velvet + Oak, a furniture & interior design boutique. She regularly helps clients find beautiful, unique, and affordable pieces to furnish or update their home.
Danielle and Andy have been married for 14 years and have two boys, Asher and Abel. When she's not submerged in all things "home" related, she loves a big, bold glass of red wine, cooking or trying new restaurants, playing with her kids, and entertaining friends.
