Bruce D. Mitchell's Bio
With more than twenty five years of professional experience in architectural design, construction management and general contracting, Bruce D. Mitchell, AIA provides leadership, motivation and vision for Columbia Enterprises, Inc. He is proficient in negotiations, administration and oversight of large-scale, complex construction projects including scheduling, cost control and contract management. He has managed a broad range of national and global architecture and construction projects, which includes government, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and educational contracts that exceeded a volume of $150million. Mr. Mitchell managed in-house and external architectural and engineering teams as a senior project manager, design manager and consultant for developers and Fortune 500 companies. He incorporates innovative technology throughout the company to facilitate the specific needs of each client. Performance, quality and financial expenditures are closely monitored to ensure customer satisfaction and successful completion of each contract.
Mr. Mitchell received the “Firemark Award” by the Firemen’s Insurance Company of Washington, D.C. for outstanding community service in the design and renovation of historical properties. He is a licensed architect and graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch).
Clarence Crayton Jr.'s Bio
Clarence Clayton, Jr. is a professional with more than thirty years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the construction process from solicitation to project closeout. He has managed a broad range of national projects, which included federal, municipal, commercial and healthcare contracts that exceeded a volume of $100million. He attends progress meetings and manages the daily operations for all constructiongroups. Performance, quality and financial expenditures are closely monitored to ensure customer satisfaction and successful completion of each contract. He was influential in the design, training and implementation of the innovative technology systems for planning and scheduling, price and cost analysis and project management.
Mr. Clayton leads with a cooperative mindset and cultivates a cohesive team with staff, clients, subcontractors and vendors to ensure integrity, customer satisfaction, quality services and a safe work environment. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).
Patricia Mitchell's Bio
Patricia Ellis Mitchell, started her career as an official court reporter for the District of Columbia Superior Court; later she transitioned to freelance reporting, including stints for the U.S. House of Representatives, which ultimately led to her becoming CEO of a full-service court reporting agency serving the legal community and providing closed captioning services for television and cable. She was a pioneer in closed captioning services in the Washington, D.C. area. Ms. Mitchell diverse business and corporate sector experience.
At Columbia Enterprises, Ms. Mitchell serves as Director of Finance and Administration, as part of the senior management team, responsible for internal/external financial management and administrative functions. Her group directly supports the decision-making process and strategic focus of the company.
As a key member of the Executive Management team, Ms. Mitchell reports directly to the President, along with the Chief Operating Officer, and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company. Her primary role as Director of Finance and Administration requires her to have day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementation, management and control of all finance-related activities of the company.
Ms. Mitchell is active in her community as well as professional organizations, including Professional Women in Construction (PWC), Construction Financial Management Association, (CFMA) the National Association of Female Executives, former Chair of the Board of Directors of North Capitol Main Street, a small-business non-profit, and active-member of Leadership Greater Washington –’09. Past affiliations include membership in D.C. Building Industry Association, (DCBIA) and Associated Builders and Contractors, (ABC).
Ms. Mitchell has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a focus on Finance and Accounting. She is a native Texan and has resided in the Washington, D.C. area since 1986 with her family.
