Founded in 1952 by Claude Bobo, Bobo Construction has evolved into a major player in the construction industry. Originally from Oklahoma, Claude came to California like so many others with the need to feed his family and the dream of starting his own business. He found a job as a sheet metal worker maintaining naval ships on Mare Island. It wouldn't be long before Claude moved his family to Sacramento to start his own mechanical contracting company and Bobo Sheet Metal was founded. Through hard work and determination, the success of Bobo was eminent.
Throughout the 1960's and 1970's, with Claude's son Gary now working by his father's side, Bobo ventured into custom residential building and development of real estate projects. As the business evolved and the construction industry exploded in the 1980's, Gary expanded the business and found more opportunities to design and build entire commercial projects. Soon, through referral of architects, engineers, and the public sector administration, Bobo was asked to bid several public works and school projects. This was the beginning of a new generation company, as Chris Bobo came on board full time. Now as President of Bobo Construction, Chris takes pride in knowing that Bobo Construction, Inc. stands for "Whatever is Fair and Right" in the public works sector.
