Matt has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and
has been responsible for the successful delivery of over one billion
dollars of construction projects. Along with his brother Peter, he
helps lead the overall operations of the company, including
maintenance of client relationships and close involvement with major projects.
Prior to founding Bette & Cring, Matt followed in both his
fathers and grandfathers footsteps in the civil engineering program at
Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY. Matt then joined his family’s
construction business, Barry, Bette & Led Duke (BBL) where he
spent six years in various training assignments constructing many
challenging projects throughout New York. He has served in most field
and office positions. He was appointed Vice President and Division
Manager in 1988 and moved to Ft. Myers, Florida where he opened the
firms Southeast Regional Office. In 1993 Matt opened the firms
Southwest Regional Office in Dallas, Texas. Under Matt’s leadership
BBL became one of the largest Multi Family Builders in the nation.
Matt is a Vice President on the Twin Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts
of America where he is responsible for Administration. He is on the
Regional Advisory Board of NBT Bank and is a Trustee of the Albany
College of Pharmacy.
