Jonathan Barrow's Bio
Jonathan Barrow, BAM Builders founder and CEO, is originally from the Waco area. He grew up in Lorena, played football, and graduated from Lorena High School. After attending Texas A&M University, Jonathan followed his wife, Caitlyn, to Houston for a few short years. Fortunately, he got her back to Central Texas as quickly as he could, where they are now raising their three children, Braden, Addison and Mason.
Before moving back to his hometown, Jonathan spent three years commuting from Houston to Waco while learning more about construction and Waco’s housing market. In January 2018, Jonathan and his wife officially moved back to his hometown to start his career, building custom homes for the Waco community and beyond.
Jonathan is a very hands-on builder and heads up an intentionally small team so that he can have someone on-site every day, communicating with his team and sub-contractors, checking progress, and ensuring that BAM Builders carries out the customer’s vision. Jonathan’s goal is to help customers overcome the overwhelming feeling of building a custom home. He wants to walk them through every step of the process so by the end, they can enjoy their new home with confidence.
One of Jonathan’s favorite things about building custom homes is that it gives BAM the ability to make the comfort and security specific to each family’s needs. He enjoys incorporating technology into the design of homes, but only as much to make accessibility easier for the homeowner, not confusing. Jonathan is also passionate about making sure the house is livable for many years to come, which is why BAM designs homes using the “age in place” concept when it fits the customer’s needs. Thinking about the future while designing your home will help prevent moving if a wheelchair becomes a requirement for a family member. Jonathan loves going above and beyond the requirements to incorporate these design features and takes time figuring out the best options for his families.
Though he spends time at work ensuring quality effort and time is going into every project, Jonathan also enjoys the little things at home, like making many memories as a dad, skeet shooting, hunting, fishing, and watching sports. As a devoted Lorena Leopard parent, he enjoys hearing how much his kids are loving school and looks forward to seeing them grow up in the Lorena school district.

Caitlyn Barrow's Bio
Caitlyn Barrow, BAM Builders’ Director of Operations, is originally from the Houston area. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 2011, Caitlyn pursued her Master’s in Healthcare Administration at Texas Woman’s University, graduating in 2013. Caitlyn then landed her dream job as the Practice Administrator for the Transition Medicine Clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital. In 2018, she and her husband, Jonathan, moved to his hometown, Waco, where he continued his career in building custom homes, and she pursued her other dream job—being a mom.
As BAM Builders began to grow, Caitlyn realized she missed working, so she began helping Jonathan in the office. Working with BAM Builders, Caitlyn has been surprised how much she can incorporate her knowledge and passion into the home building business. When she worked in the Texas Medical Center, it allowed her to serve a population close to her heart, those with special needs. Caitlyn’s biggest inspiration, her older sister, has special needs and uses a wheelchair for all ambulation. It’s that background and heart that has driven BAM Builders to incorporate “aging in place” concepts when possible in their spec homes and research the many different facets involved for their customers who want it a part of their custom home.
One of Caitlyn’s favorite things about BAM Builders is their devotion to being truly customer-centric, including them in the process by prioritizing their comfort and desires throughout the building experience. Caitlyn loves that BAM is a team that is committed to their customers and good leadership. Not only do their weekly project meetings and assessments reflect the quality of the team’s communication and management, but it also sets them apart from other builders and remodelers.
When Caitlyn’s not at the office, she loves spending time with Jonathan and their three kids, Braden, Addison, and Mason. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and she’s a big fan of warm chocolate chip cookies.
