Rennie Rodriguez's Bio
Rennie has a broad and varied background in the Insurance industry including Retail Commercial Brokerage, Employee Benefits, Contract Surety, Program Business, and Group Captives for the past 20 years.
Rennie wanted to create a book of business, so he went into Property & Casualty sales in 1994. He marketed to Mid- sized regional companies ranging from 25 employees to 250 employees. He worked for a company named Insurance & Financial Services, located in Hockessin, Delaware. It was at this firm in which he was trained at CNA Sales School and ended up winning the Presidents Club award for the next three years from 1994 – 1997. He was also named as the Agencies’ Construction Practice Leader.
Rennie decided to leave his firm for a pursuit of the American dream and Co-founded Summit Insurance Group, Inc. in 1997 and was the past President of that agency. The agency grew from a start up to as large as $50,000,000 in premium, without a merger or acquisition.
Rennie’s book was comprised of accounts in the following practices: Construction, Transportation, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Food Industries, Service Industries, and Professional Liability. His personal book was as high as $ 20,000,000 at one point and he also held a seat for nine years on the Board of Directors of a regional Construction Association. Summit Insurance was an associate member of multiple associations and was known for constant marketing to business owners. Summit also won the prestigious award for Fastest Growing Privately Held Business by the Wharton School of Business through the Philadelphia Business Journal. Summit employed as many as 50 employees and had multiple practices under one roof. The divisions consisted of the Commercial Team, Employee Benefits Team, Surety Team, Personal Lines Team, and Captive Team. The name of the teams pretty much told the story of what that sector was writing.
The agency captured so much market share and attention by its partners… that First Niagara Risk Management, the Nations # 47 largest US Property & Casualty Broker, decided to acquire Summit Insurance Group, Inc. on November 1st, 2010 . After a couple of years the Publicly Traded Corporate Environment was not suited for Rennie. Therefore, the entrepreneurial spirit in him eventually sparked Rennie to incorporate as the President and CEO of Brandywine Insurance Advisors, LLC..
Brandywine Insurance Advisors, LLC is an absolute replica of Summit Insurance Group, Inc., but will be a bit more particular in choosing clients. Brandywine acts as an “Outsourced Risk Manager” resource for companies that cannot afford to have a full time Risk Manager. This agency is more of a boutique firm and is quite intimate with their clients. While Brandywine has long term clients… because of their hands on service, they are growing at a rapid pace through referrals. Brandywine sells and services Commercial Insurance to Regional Business Owners. The philosophy of this agency is to do everything that they can to make the clients buying and service experience as smooth and user friendly as possible. Of course, Brandywine delivers a tailored Value Added Proposition to each client. Many clients have been with Rennie for as much as a decade; and of course, there will be new clients added each year, but the concept has remained the same.
Rennie Rodriguez is married and has one child; he lives on the Main Line in Metropolitan Philadelphia. He enjoys fishing, golfing, working out, and basically anything outdoors. He is a member of many Associations and constantly gives back to the Community.

Matthew C. Doyle's Bio
Matt has diversified and progressive experience in the marketing sales and service of multi-national Property and Casualty Insurance Programs.
Matt began his insurance career like many — a job and not a career — as his focus was on his MBA which was completed in 1980. After a few years with a local brokerage firm, Kramer Warmer Associates, Inc. he had an opportunity at Philadelphia Manufacturers Mutual Insurance company, one of the Factory Mutual Insurance Companies. There he was trained at the Factory Mutual Engineer Association in Loss Control and Fire Protection, which included the design of automatic sprinklers protection systems. With his prior agency sales and service background, he was moved from engineering to marketing department where he spent almost a decade dealing with Fortune 1000 clients.
As the remaining four factory Mutual companies began consolidating, Matt moved to Inshire Risk Management, Inc. in Philadelphia as Assistant Vice President for national accounts. The extensive traveling of the position was not conducive to family life and his CPCU studies, so he moved to Harry David Zutz Insurance Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware.
At Zutz Insurance, he created a book of business based on Professional Liability, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Service Industries and Transportation. He created Professional Liability Insurance programs for several associations. His combined personal book of these programs and standard Property/Casualty clients exceeded $20,000,000.
A perpetual student, having achieved an MBA and CPCU, Matt became involved in education for the insurance industry in 1990. He graded the industry’s national tests (INS, API, and CPCU) for The Insurance Institute of America. When the Institute decided to change the exam format to electronic, he was one of the few non-institute personnel to create the multiple choice questions for multiple exam curriculums. However in doing that, his services as a grader diminished, and The Institute requested his services to teach the INS and CPCU curriculum, which he continues to this day.
Matt lives in West Chester PA and has become active in the community coaching various athletic teams for each of his three children. He retired from coaching as his children aged, and is still athletically active playing baseball and golf.
