Aaron Hall's Bio
Mr. Aaron Hall currently serves as President and board member of Borrego Solar. Aaron joined Borrego Solar in 2001 as CEO and has helped develop many of the company’s departments. He serves as the Chairman of the Contracts Committee and directs procurement for Borrego Solar. He is involved in the product and technology approval process and the strategic relationships held with the world’s leading manufacturers of solar modules, inverters, and racking systems. As a member of the executive board he contributes and advises on the direction of the organization. In 2008, Inc. Magazine named Aaron the top of their 30 under 30 entrepreneurs in the Nation list and one of four CEOs to watch. In 2009, Aaron was profiled as one of San Diego’s Top Influentials in the construction industry by The Daily Transcript and was featured in Forbes’ Ten Minutes that Mattered. Aaron graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Economics from Northwestern University. As a California Solar Contractor and NABCEP certified solar installer he is dedicated to the field of renewable energy and solar power.
Andrew Hall's Bio
Andrew Hall is Borrego Solar’s Chief Financial Officer, based in the company’s regional headquarters in Oakland, Calif. A member of the company’s executive team, Andrew leads the Finance & Accounting group responsible for financial reporting, capital and financial planning and business analytics. He also serves as the company’s general counsel and leader of its Information Technology (IT) group. Appointed CFO in 2018, Andrew previously served as General Counsel & Executive Vice President responsible for leading the company’s Human Resources, IT and Legal groups. Prior to joining Borrego Solar in January 2015, Andrew was Corporate & Compliance Counsel for a publicly traded medical device manufacturer based in Pleasanton, California and an associate attorney at Covington & Burling, LLP and Morrison & Foerster, LLP, where he represented clients in the life sciences, energy and technology sectors on a variety of corporate, transactional and securities matters. Before practicing law, he was a research analyst in the credit risk management division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. Andrew earned a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. in Economics and History from the University of Virginia.
Andrew Reed's Bio
Andrew Reed is Borrego Solar’s Executive Vice President of Project Development working out of the regional headquarters in Lowell, Mass. Andrew joined the company in 2007 and has led Borrego Solar’s rapid growth in the Northeast. Andrew now heads all project development efforts nationally focused in the commercial, municipal, and utility sectors. Andrew earned his MBA in Organizational and Environmental Sustainability from Antioch University in New England and his BA in Business Administration from UNH. Andrew has served on the board of the Solar Energy Business Association of New England (SEBANE) since 2011.
Brendan Neagle's Bio
Mr. Brendan Neagle is the Executive Vice President of Project Finance at Borrego Solar and is based out of the company’s Massachusetts office. Brendan held the role of COO at Borrego Solar for 8 years, becoming EVP of Project Finance in 2016. He joined Borrego in 2006 as the VP of Business Development and in 2007, moved to Massachusetts to open the East Coast regional headquarters. Under Brendan’s leadership as COO, Borrego developed an in-house professional Engineering Department, and a full service Operations and Maintenance business. Brendan is currently tasked with managing the relationships with Borrego’s Independent Power Producer (IPP) customers. The Project Finance team is responsible for the due diligence and sale of all project assets. Brendan has more than 17 years of solar photovoltaic finance, operations and business development experience. Brendan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
Chris Anderson's Bio
Mr. Chris Anderson is a co-founder of Borrego Solar Systems, Inc. Since 2003, he has held many roles throughout the organization including roles in operations, engineering, project development, and executive leadership. Chris has over 25 years of electrical manufacturing and general construction experience and has personally supervised the design and construction of over 50 megawatts of solar PV installations. Based in New Hampshire, Chris currently serves as Senior Vice President and is working to expand trust and transparency around the technical elements of our projects with our top repeat customers. As he has done consistently throughout his career, Chris is also working to drive down system costs without a sacrifice to quality. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, Chris was the national sales manager for Alfa Lighting Inc. where he developed the personnel, inventory, distribution, and accounting systems needed to meet the company’s growth plans. His participation at Alfa vaulted the company from a small organization, handling only local sales, to the third largest national low-voltage lighting manufacturer in the US. Chris holds a BAE in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University and a NABCEP PV Installer certificate emeritus. He also holds a California C-10 Electrician’s License.
Mark Swanson's Bio
Mr. Mark Swanson joined Borrego Solar in 2017 in his current capacity as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his current role, Mark leads Borrego’s Product, Project Management, Construction, and Construction Engineering teams. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, Mark worked as Vice President of Global Module Manufacturing and Vice President of New Product Introduction for SunPower Corporation. Mark holds a MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
Mike Hall's Bio
Mr. Mike Hall currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and board member for Borrego Solar. Mike has been with Borrego Solar since 2002 when he was hired as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to manage the sales and marketing of commercial and government grid-tied solar power systems. Transitioning into the role of CEO in 2009, Mike has led the company’s development of a number of new service offerings including: integrated power purchase agreements, consulting services, and utility scale project development. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, Mike worked as a Product Development Engineer for Applied Materials in Santa Clara. Mike is NABCEP certified and holds a MS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University California Santa Barbara.
Phillip Stephenson's Bio
Mr. Phillip Stephenson is the Vice President of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for Borrego Solar and is based out of the regional headquarters in Lowell, Massachusetts. Phillip is leading the rapid expansion of Borrego Solar’s O&M footprint through a combination of ensuring that current customers’ expectations are surpassed and educating new customers about the superior value proposition that Borrego Solar’s O&M services represent. Phillip most recently led business development at OsComp Holdings where he oversaw the rapid growth of their natural gas transportation business. Prior to that, he spent four years developing utility scale solar and wind projects across the Western United States for Lincoln Renewable Energy. Prior to entering the energy industry Phillip founded a telecommunications company in Latin America that was sold 4 years after its founding. Phillip received his MBA from MIT Sloan and his BA from Reed College

Alejandro Fernandez's Bio
Mr. Alejandro Fernandez is a Regional Operations Director with Borrego Solar based out of the company’s Southern California headquarters in San Diego, California. Alejandro works primarily on large-scale utility (WDG-wholesale distributed generation) and DSA-governed private and public school solar energy projects throughout the Western US. As a Senior Project Manager, Alejandro supports the project development lifecycle from conditional use permitting, engineering, procurement and construction through closeout when the PV installation is given permission to operate (PTO) by the utility. Prior to joining the Borrego Solar team in 2013, Alejandro worked in the solar industry for 7-years starting at a net-zero custom home start-up near Aspen, Colorado and then moving on to larger scale DG projects in Northern California with SunPower. Alejandro is a NABCEP Certified PV installer and a LEED Accredited Professional. He earned his Bachelors of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.

Anita Orozco's Bio
Ms. Anita Orozco joined Borrego Solar in 2008 and is currently a Purchasing & Logistics Manager working out from the corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA. As a member of the Procurement Team, Anita focuses on improving the customer experience, supporting our continuous effort to build the highest quality commercial solar power installations in the industry, and lowering our operation costs. She’s able to improve these internal and external dealings through efficient inventory management, improved vendor relations, and the development of infrastructure and standard operating procedures. Before joining the Procurement Team, Anita was the Contract Accounting Supervisor for Borrego Solar, overseeing the Contract Accounting team’s daily operations, as well as managing corporate revenues monthly. She was the recipient of the 2011 Teamwork Award, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
Billy Christie's Bio
Mr. Billy Christie is a Regional Engineering Manager for Borrego Solar based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in San Diego, California. As a Project Engineering Manager Billy is responsible for guiding awarded projects through their respective design and permitting phases. Once our operations team has a building permit in-hand, he works to provide engineering support for the project during construction and installation until it has received permission to operate (PTO) from the utility. Since joining the Borrego Solar team in 2016, Billy has been the lead for multiple MW-scale projects and has worked to help improve standard operating procedures and protocols within the West Coast project engineering department. Billy has been in the solar industry since 2014, and worked previously for SolarCity as a PV Designer and Team Lead. Billy earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University, New York.
Dan Berwick's Bio
Dan Berwick is General Manager of Borrego Solar’s Energy Storage Division, with executive responsibility for all aspects of that division. Dan joined Borrego Solar in 2010, and has previously served as the company’s Director of Policy and Business Development and later as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. In those roles, Dan managed policy and government affairs for the company, and also led Borrego Solar’s market expansion efforts in New York, as well the development of Borrego Solar’s third-party O&M business. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, Dan worked on renewable energy policy reform at the Texas House of Representatives. He’s also worked in the utilities practice area at The Brattle Group, an economic consulting firm, and he supported Federal policy efforts for the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. Dan earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sloan School of Management and his Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Emily Tam's Bio
Ms. Emily Tam is the Director of Applications Development for Borrego, Solar based out of the Oakland, CA office. She is currently focused on process design and adoption, as well as creating tools and training methods to standardize business operations. Emily is also responsible for documentation of business work flow throughout the organization. She first joined the Borrego Solar Northern California team in 2006 as a Business Development Associate, and assisted in opening the Lowell, MA office. Emily earned her BA in Economics from Dartmouth College with a focus on energy and the environment.
John duPont's Bio
John duPont is Director of Technology and Operations for Borrego Solar’s Energy Storage Division, based out of the New England Regional Headquarters in Lowell, MA, where he is responsible for ensuring Borrego Solar delivers on all operational commitments of energy storage projects. John is focused on identifying the technical solutions for both behind-the-meter and front-of-meter energy storage applications, qualifying technology partners, and managing the integration of energy storage into solar photovoltaic design and construction efforts. He joined Borrego Solar in 2016 after six years at EnerNOC, where he held multiple roles in engineering, project management, and product marketing. Most recently, he managed channel relationships to integrate energy intelligence software into distributed energy projects. John has extensive experience in energy engineering and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and controls systems, and is a licensed Mechanical Engineer with the State of California. John received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and his master’s degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.

Max Christian's Bio
Max Christian is Business Development Manager for Borrego Solar’s Energy Storage Division, focused on developing customer-sited energy storage and solar-plus-storage solutions throughout the United States. Prior to joining Borrego, Max was COO and most recently Senior Project Developer with Namaste Solar, working on solar and solar-plus-storage project development. He is based in our Southern California regional offices and works closely with our entire project development team on energy storage projects. Max earned a BA from the University of Southern California and MS in Sustainable Development from the University of Maryland.
Michael Conway's Bio
Mike is Borrego Solar’s Director of Business Development for Energy Storage and until recently served as Borrego Solar’s Director of Grid Integration. Mike is responsible for Borrego’s utility-facing energy storage project development portfolio, and he also works on technical standards and policies surrounding interconnection and grid integration. Mike identifies strategic pathways and highlights new market opportunities around the rapidly evolving intersection between energy storage, solar, and the traditional grid. Mike is a technical expert on interconnection practices across the country, and is a member of the Massachusetts Technical Standards Review Group and New York Interconnection Technical Working Group. Before joining Borrego Solar, Mike worked on the utility side completing system impact studies and designing system modifications for oncoming distributed generation. He previously earned his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and Masters of Science in Energy Systems (MSES) from Northeastern University.

Tom Skraby's Bio
Mr. Tom Skraby is the Senior Vice President of Finance for Borrego Solar based out of the company headquarters in San Diego, California. Tom brings over 28 years of leadership and experience to the Accounting team. He started as a public accounting auditor and then transitioned into the private industry as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer. He has worked primarily in the Real Estate, Construction, and Hospitality industries with vast experience in building single-family detached homes, apartment and condominium developments, and other construction related projects. As CFO, Tom was responsible for investor funding and reporting, acquisition and development loans, construction loans, receivable loans, and receivable securitizations. As Controller for Borrego Solar, Tom oversees the Accounting team and is responsible for all accounting, cash flow, and financial reporting of the company. Tom earned his BA at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, and attained his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in California in 1986.
