Planned and supervised the repair and preventive maintenance of a portion of the city’s (Southeast and Southwest) water mains, sanitary sewers, valves, fire hydrants, manholes and other facilities. § Enacted policy originating from the Mayor or department administrators. § Prepared and implemented plans for meeting Federal, State, and City legislative requirements. § Planned, organized, directed and reviewed various operations, facilities and personnel. § Implemented and participated in modifying emergency preparedness plans. 2004-2005 Kellogg Brown and Root Iraq, Baghdad
Chief of Services (Kellogg Brown and Root) § Maintained and supervised base camp operations for 7,500 soldiers in North Victory Iraq. Responsible for managing all on-site functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems and requirements approved by the company on medium-sized projects (typically 250,000 to 2 million construction man hours or projects valued at $15 to $75 million). Responsibilities included project setup and subcontracting strategy, contract changes, subcontractor relations and all required owner and in-house reporting. Possessed a working knowledge of the respective industry i.e. plumbing, carpentry, concrete, A/C or foundation work. Supervised personnel at the site, or through subordinate leaders. Developed highly specialized skills or knowledge of techniques requiring some problem recognition, solution development and action step formulation within structured and/or defined judgment parameters as defined by the job. Tasks were multiple on a more diverse or broad relationship. Breadth of thought encompassed an entire function or division or several unrelated sub-functions. § The position required a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. § Supervising and monitoring the contractor’s performance to ensure that their program, quality and technical obligations are achieved and maintained.

2001–2004 Griffin Services Hunter AAF / Fort Stewart Underground Utility Manager: Water / Natural Gas Distribution § Managed and maintained approximately 50 miles of gas line (steel and polyethylene) ranging from ½ inch to 8 inch. Was responsible for the natural gas distribution system for two military bases Hunter and Fort Stewart. § Maintained and repaired the water distribution system for Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart military base. This position allowed me the opportunity to demonstrate my ability to manage assets and people, solving immediate problems and providing real solutions when water or gas service was interrupted. § Implemented training courses for new employees regarding cathodic protection and fusion techniques as well as supervised approximately 10 employees on a day-to-day basis. |
