DESCRIPTION:
ESPN partnered with The University of Texas at Austin in a 20-year agreement to own and operate a year-round, 24-hour cable network dedicated to UT athletics.
The Longhorn Network offers a variety of content, highlighted by more than 200 exclusive annual events from 20 varsity UT sports, original series and studio shows, historical programming and academic and cultural happenings.
The facility includes a studio, production control room, audio control room, media control room, edit rooms, news and screening rooms, along with support rooms, technical core and equipment rack rooms.
These broadcast elements required substantial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure, including redundant power and mechanical sources as well as acoustically effective components and best practices.
