Mark Swedlow's Bio
In 1955, my Father, Leonard Swedlow, was selling gloves and signs as a vendor. At this time he had a small office in old town Pasadena, California. As time passed, the buyers started to request furniture. My dad never wanted to turn his clients down and quickly replied, absolutely! As the years passed, the customer’s list grew, as did the manufactures list. In the sixties, he moved the office to east Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. I started working with my dad as a deliveryman for the company. By now, the customer’s list consisted of large Fortune 500 companies and the list just kept growing. In the seventies, after some convincing from my brother and mom, I decided to come onboard and work for the company. My first day on the job, my brother handed me the catalog and said “go make some sales.” We moved the office one last time to north Lake Ave, in Pasadena. The company had flourished and grown from 3 to over 20 employees with record sales reaching over 18 million dollars each year. We came a long way from selling gloves and signs! Years later I handed the catalog to my son, Sean, and decided to let him lead the way to the next level. Now we have moved to our new office in the city of Montclair CA, and have entered the world of the Internet.
