In addition to being the owner and pilot of Propellerheads, Parker Gyokeres is an award-winning sUAS pilot and photographer who retired in 2014 after 22 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Air Force as a Photojournalist and Chief of Public Affairs. Since retiring, Parker has dedicated his life to changing the way we see our world using creativity, innovation, and constantly evolving technology.
A former military media relations instructor, Parker is considered to be one of the foremost sUAS subject matter experts, and is often asked to share his knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience with leaders from multiple industries on the design, operation, and extensive uses of advanced aerial systems. He continually strives to set the bar higher for aerial imagery services and products in fields ranging from construction to quarry demolitions/explosions to the inspection and preservation of historical structures.
In addition to Propellerheads Aerial Photography, Parker enjoys taking an active role in the sUAS community. He currently serves as a member on the board of directors for the Professional Society of Drone Journalists, has been awarded a Special Citation from the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) for his pioneering volunteer drone work during Hurricanes Harvey and Maria, teaches and mentors photographers and journalists for the Department of Defense, and is a DJI Brand Ambassador.
