Scope Of Work

This landmark Howard Hughes Corporation/SHop Architects project, connects lower Manhattan’s street grid to the waterfront along South Street at Pier 17. The project will provide enormous waterfront common areas and shopping for New Yorkers and visitors to enjoy a revitalized Seaport district. The project is designed to seamlessly connect the historic buildings of the district by increasing ease of pedestrian access from South Street to the Pier and the East River waterfront, affording beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge. Intricate Construction’s original contract is for all sidewalks, curbs and street restoration on South Street. On the pier itself, Intricate Construction is handling the asphalt work and all site concrete work, such as fill slabs, sub slabs, planter walls, curbs and footings on pier and roof. ICI will also provide all structural foam fill on pier. Most recently, Intricate Construction’s scope of work has been expanded with an additional contract to furnish and install all custom site furniture and planters (wood, GFRC and Ductile concrete) on the pier level and roof level.
