AUS offers a variety of services, all with the aim of identifying, protecting, and recording the location of underground utilities.   These services include:

Contract Locating:  Utility Companies, save money and improve efficiency by contracting Allegheny Utility Solutions LLC to protect your underground facilities.  You can deploy your employees to take care of other tasks, while having peace of mind knowing that experienced locate professionals are guarding your plant.  We also offer advanced mapping services to upgrade your existing records.

Private Utility Locating:  Electric, Communication, Gas, Water, Sewer, Fiber, etc.  Often, public utility locators will not mark lines on private, industrial, or commercial property.  AUS will mark these lines, and can produce detailed maps.

Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR):  While the traditional electromagnetic locators are only able to trace facilities that conduct electricity (metallic), GPR can be used to find plastic, fiber-optic, or terracotta lines.  It can also discern the location of underground storage tanks (USTs) and voids.

Concrete Scanning: Handheld GPR units detect rebar, post tension cables, conduits, voids,etc. buried in concrete.

GIS Mapping:  Using GPS satellite technology, AUS can create detailed maps that show the locations of utilities (or anything else). We also provide mass data acquisition.

Leak Detection: Real time correlators and ground microphones to pinpoint the location of water leaks.

Video Pipeline Inspection:  NASSCO certified pipe inspections of sanitary and storm sewer lines.

Manhole Inspection:  NASSCO certified Manhole Inspections

Cross Bore Inspection: Inspect pipes for instances of cross bores.

AMP: CUES Accurate Mapping Probe provides precise spatial data by traversing through pipes.

Damage Investigations / Site Documentation:  Unfortunately, damages to occur to underground utilities on a daily basis.  Utility companies and excavators can use AUS’s unbiased damage investigation service to determine which party is responsible for causing a damage, what the root causes of the incident are, and assist in recovering losses that occurred as a result of the damage.

Drone Services:  FAA licensed drone pilots provide aerial inspections of towers, right-of-ways, bridges, etc.  Other services include aerial photos/video, mapping, and volumetric analysis.

One Call Compliance: Keeps your organization operating within the scope of the law, reducing your exposure and liability.

Vacuum Excavation (Coming Soon!):  AUS will soon have the ability to use vacuum excavation to safely expose utilities in congested areas.
