Testimonials
In 2014, we renovated our home in San Francisco. The project included the renovation of our kitchen and three bathrooms, and the addition of 180 square feet of sitting area to the master bedroom. Eamon Greaney worked closely with an architect we hired and completed the project to our full satisfaction. The project construction cost exclusive of owner-supplied items was about $375K and it took 8 months to complete.
The project was delivered on schedule and reflected Eamon’s strengths in the following areas:
Cost control: At completion, our project cost was over budget by less than 5%, and that was mainly due to modifications necessitated by unexpected existing structural deficiencies of the house.
Problem-solving skills: During the process, we unearthed problems that came with an old home. We also had to deal with custom items such as glass partition and cabinets that were problematic for perfect installation. In all cases, Eamon worked with us to come up with creative and acceptable solutions.
Communication: Throughout the project, Eamon kept us well informed every step of the way, by phone, text messages, and emails. This was especially critical because we lived in another city during the project and there were unexpected discoveries about the house, as mentioned above. And he was always totally honest with us.
Follow-through: Eamon’s word was his bond. What he said he would do, he did. This was even the case after the project was finished. On three separate occasions after the project, he responded to us promptly, and to our satisfaction.
We could not be more pleased with Mr. Greaney and will hire him again when we have another project. We would recommend Eamon Greaney without any reservation!
I was having a terrible time finding a contractor to handle my foundation and framing, and ended up just cold-calling any number I could find. As luck would have it, Eamon from Greacon was one of the few guys who called me back. He was the most professional and straight-talking guy I dealt with.
I know a little bit about construction, and we sat down and estimated 16 weeks as a best-case, pie-in-the-sky, "no problems" scenario to get this work done; both of us agreeing that with the weather and holidays in the middle of it that it would probably take more like 20 weeks. Today he finished up that work after 12 weeks.
The inspectors love him (and weren't afraid to tell me so), his guys do quality work, and there's no BS. And he saved me some money with a few of the curve balls we had to deal with (El Nino and some old foundation troubles we uncovered).
I cannot recommend this company enough.
I hired Eamon Greaney to build a two-story, ~750 sqf addition off the back of my home, including a new pier foundation and 26 feet of framing. First off, Eamon’s price was competitive. I know it’s not typical for any construction project, but he finished ahead of time, and though there were a few curve balls (old foundation wasn’t what we thought it was, architect and engineer messed up a couple measurements) he and his crew were able to roll with the changes and did a great job. Most importantly, he stood by his work, took care of all the issues that he was responsible for and was more than fair with the unforeseen charges due to those issues with my architect’s plans. I would not hesitate to hire him again.
