Harry Haywood's Bio
Mr. Haywood possesses approximately two decades of experience in project management, energy management and analysis, building commissioning, mechanical engineering, and HVAC controls. In particular, he possesses skills in all aspects of building commissioning and facilities management including heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, electrical power distribution, emergency power system, engineering, design, and construction/renovation projects. Additionally, he has extensive experience in preventative maintenance planning with comprehensive knowledge of systems, construction, and project execution.
On behalf of HBS Solutions, Mr. Haywood is the Lead Commissioning Specialist / Project Manager for all Commissioning engagements. He is a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) through the Building Commissioning Association.
Prior to forming HBS Solutions, Mr. Haywood was a commissioning project manager for a mid- Atlantic engineering services firm in the higher education sector. His responsibilities included the management and implementation of commissioning projects in the Mid-Atlantic South Region (DC, MD, and VA). This role also included participating in the growth of the Mid- Atlantic South Region, supporting in the development of new programs and services to offer clients. Commissioning clients included George Washington University, Georgetown University, Cecil College, Marymount University, University of Delaware, and Washington College
Mr. Haywood was also the Operations Manager on a consolidated facilities maintenance contract for the National Archives II in College Park, MD Mr. Haywood was responsible for managing a $50,000,000+ multi-year consolidated facility management contract to operate and maintain a 1.8 million square foot building. Prior to his position as the Operations Manager, he was the Engineering Manager where he was responsible for assessing the daily operations and maintenance of HVAC, control systems, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and emergency fire/life safety equipment. Additionally, he was a Field Engineer for Siemens Building Technologies where he was responsible for all aspects of design, planning, implementation, and commissioning of HVAC Automation Control Systems.
