Solid Design and Detail’s mission is to provide high-quality fabrication support in a dependable and timely manner.
Solid Design and Detail uses 3D modeling software to create drawings of components for a variety of projects. Our experience across many industries allows us to work on complex mechanical and structural projects with no material restrictions. We have over 20 years of design experience across marine, aerospace and structural industries, including collaborative projects with the Department of Defense (DoD). Solid Design and Detail offers project-based support to ensure you can competitively secure bids without the costly overhead that dedicated in-house design teams incur.
We model our projects completely. This provides exceptional geometric accuracy, tolerancing, hole alignment, interference detection, weights and part properties. We are Associate Members of AISC who specialize in Solidworks and Autodesk software.

We 3D model all of our projects down to the last bolt and create the drawings from them directly. Making a virtual version of your project ahead of time allows us to foresee many issues ahead of time and have very accurate drawings. This is also a huge advantage when changes come along.
Do you have a project that needs to be designed and documented? We are CAD experts with the talent and experience to make your project come to life. Drafting, design and detailing - we do it all, from beginning to end. We can work either as your on-demand engineering department or supplement an existing one for consulting on special projects.
We provide Structural and Misc. Steel Detailing for commercial and industrial projects.
We 3D model every project in its entirety. This greatly reduces errors and interferences that arise from working in 2D.
We provide Flat Patterns of your formed sheetmetal parts for CNC programing.
