The Crux Climbing Center will be a premiere climbing & fitness facility and local hangout—complete with 30’ walls! The facility is in former auto body shop in a renovated warehouse complex off South Congress Avenue. Structural steel was used extensively to create the mezzanine for the climbing walls and support the entry curtainwall system. Challenges on this project included working around shelling building delays and coordination with the owner’s vendors for the installation of the climbing wall surfaces. The space is clean and spacious with plenty of natural light for the day-to-day athlete, as well as offering enough space to accommodate world-class competitions and events.
