Kevin Judd's Bio
Kevin Judd grew up in the Madison area with a passion for technology. It is this passion that drove him to earn a degree in Computer Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After graduating, Kevin began his career with Galaxy Technologies as a Technical Support Specialist. Quickly learning that sitting behind a desk was not for him, Kevin pursued a career in sales with Pinnacle Data Com as the Wisconsin Sales Manager. During his 3 years with Pinnacle, Kevin excelled at forming relationships, placing products and uncovering opportunities. These skills, combined with his hunger for helping people solve problems is what made him interested in the world of contracting.
In 2002 Kevin took an opportunity presented by one of his contractor customers from Pinnacle as an outside sales position. Within just a few years, he had built a loyal customer base while honing his skills in networking, marketing, design and engineering. It became apparent that he had all of the tools necessary to be successful on his own, so he decided to become an entrepreneur at the age of 26. Kevin’s first company was born in 2004 with the help of a business partner. After 5 years of consistent growth, the company reached over $2.5 million in revenue in 2009. It was at this time Kevin and his wife made the decision to sell their interest in the business and start a family-owned company of their own.
Integral Building Systems, Inc. has been in business almost 6 years. Kevin and Nissa started the company in 2008 with 4 technicians on staff. Now they employee over 20 talented individuals and have expanded their service offerings to meet the market’s demands. In addition to providing expert design and installation of structured cabling, security and audio/video systems, IBS is also part owner of Affiliated Communications of WI, a VoIP telephone system integrator. The combination of the two companies provides a single-source for clients’ communication and security needs.
Kevin has a wonderful wife and 2 beautiful daughters. As a family they love to take walks, play outside, go camping and spend time together.
Nissa Judd's Bio
Nissa Judd has a long history in the telecommunications industry. After her time at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Nissa joined Mid-Plains Communications as a customer service representative. Over the next several years she received multiple promotions and was integral in the transition when the company was acquired by Telephone and Data Systems (TDS).
In 2007, Nissa left TDS to take on a managerial role with a local structured cabling and security systems integrator where she increased net income by over 10%. By focusing on reducing waste and increasing productivity, she took the company from a loss to a profit.
Capitalizing on her success as an Operations Manager, Nissa and her husband combined their knowledge and dedication to form Integral Building Systems in 2008. IBS is a single source for structured cabling, access control, camera surveillance, intrusion alarm and audio/visual systems. The company has grown from 6 to over 20 full time employees in just 6 years under Nissa’s leadership.
2 years later, Nissa and Kevin were presented with a unique opportunity to expand into the telephone systems business. Thru a partnership with a respected company in Texas, Affiliated Communications of Wisconsin was born. Nissa now serves as President for both Integral Building Systems and Affiliated Communications of WI. The companies combined serve in excess of 1,000 clients across southern Wisconsin and neighboring states.
In addition to her busy professional career, Nissa also sits on the board for Middleton Outreach Ministry. MOM is a non-profit based in Middleton, WI whose mission is to prevent homelessness and hunger throughout Middleton, West-Madison, and Cross-Plains. She also supports JDRF, Gio’s Garden, Gilda’s Club, and other local charities, further proving her dedication to giving back and taking social responsibility as a leader of the community.
Personally, Nissa is a wonderful mother of two daughters and supportive wife to Kevin. Life balance is extremely important to Nissa and taking care of her family is top priority.
