Marybeth MacNaughton's Bio
Marybeth MacNaughton is the COO for MSE Landscape Professionals. Her drive to organize people, places, and things with efficiency and a smile makes her an irreplaceable asset. MB, as she’s known, takes on every task at hand with determination to achieve results while making work environments fun and lighthearted. Prior to joining MSE, Marybeth spent more than 20 years as a special education teacher in Southern California.
Marybeth is a teacher at heart and a lifelong learner. She is constantly challenging herself to excel at whatever she puts her mind to and loves to help everyone become the best version of themselves. She holds a Master of Science in special education from National University and a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education from Temple University.
Community involvement is a huge part of Marybeth’s life. She’s currently involved with the Autism Tree Project Foundation and the Warrior Foundation, and she has previously volunteered for countless schools and other local community groups. When not running the fun at MSE, Marybeth spends her time making jewelry and sea salt caramels, practicing yoga, and dreaming about cruise vacations.
Michael G Seymour's Bio
At the helm of MSE Landscape Professionals is founder, president, and CEO Mike Seymour, who has more than 40 years of landscape design, construction, and maintenance experience. MSE was born from Mike’s undeniable belief that a landscape company could provide amazing opportunities for employees and a cohesive and enriching company culture while, at the same time, satisfying customer needs and maintaining business perpetuation.
A defining quality for Mike is his commitment to servant leadership and truly putting customers and employees first. A career motivator, Mike has devoted his life to identifying people’s hidden potential and helping it develop into greatness. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in organizational leadership from Biola University and is a certified arborist, certified horticulturist, and a qualified applicator licensee. Additionally, he holds a C-27 Landscaping Contractors License.
Mike personifies community involvement, serving on the board for Pemarro Recovery Center, Stepping Stone, and the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station. MSE Landscape Professionals is the proud recipient of the 2016 CLCA Humanitarian Award, the 2015 Sons of Italy Humanitarian Award, and the 2014 Combined Health Agencies Hero Award.
When not volunteering or steering MSE, Mike loves spending time with his wife, six children, and grandchildren, and you’re likely to see them out on his boat or hiking throughout San Diego County.
Nathan Anderson's Bio
Nathan Anderson is MSE Landscape Professionals’ CFO. He’s accountable and responsible for ensuring the company leadership team has what they need to effectively get their jobs done. He joined MSE in 2013 and, over time, has seen his responsibilities grow and become more varied. From financial reporting to providing insurance information, Nathan’s goal is to always use his time efficiently.
As CFO, Nathan combines his passion for technology and business to ensure the company consistently delivers on its promises. Nathan’s love for animation, video editing, art, and graphic design influences his unique approach toward problem solving and execution. He’s a graduate from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor of Arts in visual and performing arts.

Jesse Hynd's Bio
Jesse Hynd joined the MSE Landscape Professionals family in 2014. As construction and enhancement project manager, Jesse is responsible for commercial and residential site assessment, design, and construction management for all MSE projects in Southern California. Combining a unique design aesthetic with a highly-defined, process-oriented approach toward project management, Jesse delivers beautiful products on time and on budget. Jesse spent his early career working as a project engineer for a multi-family residential general contractor.
A perpetual optimist, Jesse approaches his work with a smile and positive tenacity to deliver exactly what each customer is looking to make happen. Jesse’s work exhibits mastery of drought-tolerant landscape design combined with mixed-material hardscapes. Jesse holds a SWPPP and OSHA 10 certification and is currently pursuing a Landscape & Nursery Technology certificate.
In his free time, Jesse donates time and energy to Stepping Stone and other groups within the recovery community. An Ocean Beach resident, Jesse loves beachside living.

Daniel Olmeda's Bio
Daniel Olmeda started his career with MSE Landscape Professionals in 2012. Over the years, Daniel’s commitment to excellence has allowed him to move from landscaper to driver to maintenance manager for the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties. Daniel’s ability to ensure consistent execution of high-quality results and the management of a large geographic territory with an array of landscaping needs has made him a valuable asset to the company and community.
Daniel feels most at home when he’s teaching MSE field staff to apply landscaping best practices and making certain every employee works in a safe work environment. Employee safety is Daniel’s number one focus each and every day. A win for Daniel means projects are maintained with pride and client expectations are surpassed. Daniel is a recycled water site supervisor and is working toward additional industry certifications.
When not immersed in work, Daniel loves to play and watch soccer. He also works closely with neighborhood peers to keep his community safe and clean.
Gabriel Solache's Bio
Gabriel Solache has been with MSE Landscape Professionals from the very first day of operations. Gabriel is the maintenance manager for San Diego County. His greatest measure of success is when customers feel satisfied and rave about MSE’s ability to deliver the highest standards of excellence. Gabriel has spent his career working in landscape design and maintenance, having touched countless properties and lives in his near 25-year career.
Gabriel’s unique ability is identifying the reason clients hired MSE Landscape Professionals and translating that reason into the delivery of superior service and uncompromised results. His commitment to providing customers with outcome options to include photographs and demonstrative models allows for clear expectations. Gabriel is a recycled water site supervisor and is currently pursuing a CLCA Turf Maintenance certificate.
While passionate about his work, nothing makes Gabriel happier than spending time with his wife and two children.
Mike Andrews's Bio
As MSE Landscape Professionals’ customer relations manager, Mike Andrews is responsible for ensuring all customers receive nothing short of an exceptional experience. Mike is flexible, multi-faceted, a true innovator, and a problem solver — all of which come together to ensure high customer satisfaction. Mike’s long career includes owning a general contracting company and building custom homes in coastal Southern California to being the director of maintenance for a skilled nursing and memory care facility.
Mike’s role as customer relations manager aligns with his desire to get things done the right way the first time as well as his many years of experience working with a wide range of customers. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Mike’s ongoing pledge to country, people, and relationships makes him the perfect fit for MSE Landscape Professionals’ commitment to the local community.
Within the San Diego County community, Mike is very involved with the Calvary Chapel Vista Motorcycle Fellowship, a group committed to bettering the lives of everyone it touches.
Raul Soto's Bio
Raul Soto is MSE Landscape Professionals’ operations manager and has been with the company since the very first day of business in 2007. Raul brings with him a near 20-year career working for both large- and mid-size landscape maintenance and design companies. He’s responsible for discovering and implementing solutions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all employees are properly trained.
Known for his cool, calm, and collected approach, Raul is most at home when he’s working to ensure operations are running on all four cylinders to deliver great customer experiences. Raul believes teaching employees the right way to perform every task and equipping them with the tool for the job is central to keeping the business running smoothly. Raul is a certified recycled water site supervisor and is currently pursuing a CLCA certification in turf management.
When not at work, Raul enjoys home improvement projects and spending time with his wife and four children.
