Ken Wright's Bio
Ken Wright’s construction career spans over thirty years. It was through his grandfather, a construction professional, who passed on three generations of a family legacy. Ken’s entry to the industry began with the completion of a two year trade apprenticeship program and associated college education where he climbed the ranks within the trades.
Demonstrating excellent leadership and management skills, he was encouraged to pursue owning and managing his own business. He met the challenge in 1986 by starting a general contracting company in San Diego, California. Within a few short years, his company had grown to become one of the leading commercial/residential contractors in the market segment. In 1992, the company was sold as an employee buy out to allow his family to relocate to his home state of Arizona. Once in Arizona, he pursued the commercial and industrial markets. He founded a general contracting company that utilized pre-engineered metal buildings as an entry into the market. Clients included General Motors, AZCO Mining and APS. This company was sold in 1998 to a private investor.
Ken’s extensive knowledge and skills of the construction industry led him to development, consulting work and employment with major general contractors. His client base spans from sole proprietorship businesses to Zachry, Tutor Perini Corporation, Betchel, Black & Veatch and other internationally recognized general contractors. Ken has managed at one time a combined portfolio value of $112 million under his direct supervision, and managed his single largest project in excess of $50 million.
In 2014 Ken received the certificate of completion from the International Factoring Association for the completion of the ‘Credit, Underwriting and Collections’ training course taught by George Thorson of Triumph Business Capital, LLC., Gen Merritt-Parikh of Allied Affiliated Funding, LP. and Brad Magill, Esq. of Collection Law Group, Inc.
